Yang - Boss of the Cannye Mafia.
He almost got killed by the White Capes and was rescued by the Cannye. He seems to have walls of separation between him and Chang.
Leader of the Cannyes gang. Swift and strong, cold but caring.
Intro[]
The small, agile Cannyes are seen by prejudiced humans as 'dog demons' when they're actually just unusual creatures. Cannyes have a nose for treasure and are able to track any that's near by scent, therefore some Cannyes resorted to pilfering for a living. Some humans have a deep-seated hatred for Cannyes and often lynch their forest dwellings and hang them from trees.
Yang's Furry appearance has been discriminated against and despised so he formed a pack to extract revenge from humans, training them in bloodthirsty combat, raiding human caravans. He has embraced the power of the wild. Yang often helps out at Chang's shelter for Cannyes and provides daily supplies. It is said that they have been seen taking moonlight strolls together despite clashing ideals.

Intimacy Breakthrough[]
This section contains spoilers for Intimacy Breakthrough scenes.
- Yang: You're giving me a gift?
- Yang: Even though I don't know who you are,
- Yang: this saves me the trouble of having to rob you.
- Yang: I got your gift.
- Yang: I see you've got a good body.
- Yang: Would you like to be one of my henchmen?
- Yang: You're pretty interesting. Let's be friends!
- Yang: I'm Yang. I'm in charge of this Cannye gang.
- Yang: Got any interest in being my partner in crime?
- Yang: Come with me to the sanctuary.
- Player: Why did you think to bring me?
- Yang: The little ones are scared of me.
- Yang: They like you.
- Player: So this is...
- Player: But why are the little Cannyes scared of you?
- Yang: Humph. I tried to teach them a little self defense.
- Yang: None of them had any potential whatsoever.
- Yang: I couldn't contain myself. I gave them a whooping.
- Player: So why are you headed to the sanctuary today?
- Yang: We didn't finish our lesson last time! Today we're picking up where we left off!
- Yang: Tell me.
- Yang: How can I teach these young pups so that they'll actually put in a little effort?
- Player: Since you asked...
- Player: I think you'd better take some gifts and try to warm up to them a little bit.
- Player: I think they'll be better students if they're not afraid of you.
- Yang: What a pain in the neck.
- Yang: I have no idea what they like.
- Player: Leave that up to me. I'll help you buy the gifts.
- Scene transition
- Player: Daddy's Beef Jery, Daddy's flavor... So chewy and delicious!
- Player: Little Cannyes won't be able to resist the temptation. They'll run right up to you.
- Player: How is it?
- Yang: It's passable.
- Player: ...
- Yang: Here's some money. Does that cover the cost of the jerky?
- Player: It's definitely enough. You even gave me too much.
- Player: Oh, before I forget - when you teach today, try not to be too tough on them.
- Player: Otherwise next time even bringing gifts won't help you.
- Yang: What do children know!
- Yang: They get hit and start to cry.
- Yang: Give them a gift and they smile.
- Yang: Next time I'll just bring them several carts worth of beef jerky. That'll do the trick!
- Player: I don't think you understand.
- Player: Children are actually very intelligent.
- Yang: You're so delicate. No wonder the little stinkers like you.
- Yang: When we go in, tell them that you got them these gifts.
- Yang: Don't tell them it was me.
- Player: Eh? You wanted me to go pick them out. You even paid.
- Player: Why should I take all the credit?
- Yang: Go along with me, please.
- Yang: Do as I wish.
- Player: Uh... All right.
- Player: Let's go. It's time for us to go in!
- Player: If I know Cannyes...
- Player: They already smelled this jerky from a mile away!
- Yang: I had no idea you were so rich. You've got a huge airship.
- Yang: It's got a bar, and also a swimming pool!
- Yang: It looks like we've taken our friendship to the next level, and I won't need to rob you anymore.
- Yang: But you can't stop me from soaking in your pool from time to time!
- Yang: Why do I get the feeling you're much richer than I am?
- Yang: You brought me more gifts.
- Yang: We'll be eating like kings for days.
- Yang: Luckily, I can take a few days off.
- Yang: I can sense you're different from the others!
- Yang: Today, you are my brother!
- Yang: From now on, you have my protection.
- Yang: I'll take care of anyone who gives you trouble!
- Yang: Let me ask you something.
- Yang: What's 'bandit' mean?
- Player: Uh...
- Player: Did someone call you that behind your back, or something?
- Player: (Whispering hesitantly) Are they wrong, though?
- Player: (Whispering hesitantly) Isn't a 'bandit' exactly what you are?
- Yang: But why not 'rogue' or 'scoundrel'?
- Yang: Humph. Anything's better than 'bandit.'
- Player: ...
- Yang: Maybe I am somewhat bandit-like...
- Yang: But am I countrified?
- Player: Um...
- Player: I see...
- Player: I didn't realize you cared so much about your image!
- Player: Then how about I help you modify it a bit?
- Player: Actually, you're halfway there already.
- Player: To shed the image of 'countrified', maybe all you're missing is a pair of sunglasses…
- Yang: ?
- Scene transition
- Player: Don't take them off! I think they make you look pretty fashionable.
- Yang: I look much more imposing.
- Yang: But I'll be blind if I walk around showing them off at night! I won't be able to see the road!
- Yang: It would be better to save them for the daytime.
- Player: Haha, fair enough.
- Player: As long as you like them.
- Yang: My henchmen said...
- Yang: I need to wear sunglasses, a golden chain, and a golden watch as a three-piece fashion set.
- Yang: I'm still short two of those!
- Player: Eh?
- Yang: I've got plenty of gold.
- Yang: I need to wait for the gold chain and the gold watch.
- Yang: Then I'll be complete!
- Player: Uh... I don't think so.
- Player: I think this is wonderful enough.
- Player: The simple coolness of the sunglasses matches your temperament.
- Player: Having a golden chain and a golden watch...
- Player: It would be fine, I guess, but unnecessary.
- Player: There is a fine line between cool and countrified cool.
- Player: I would advise you to be prudent.
- Yang: So...
- Yang: In the future I'll depend on you to help me match.
- Yang: Cool is fine. I'll get rid of the countrified.
- Yang: Once the gold jewelry is done being crafted...
- Yang: You can take them away for me.
- Player: Ah? Something that expensive?
- Yang: You can keep them.
- Yang: You helped me out.
- Yang: I always repay favors.
- Player: Haha, thank you...
- Yang: When I was a robber, I liked to do three things, each more dangerous than the last.
- Yang: The first, I called 'Rob the Powerful.'
- Yang: My favorite place to rob was the White Capes camp.
- Yang: Big risk, big reward. And most especially, big reputation.
- Yang: The second, I called 'Don't Kill Witnesses.'
- Yang: This one especially applies to common merchants. I'd spare their lives, and give them a chance to vilify me and get revenge.
- Yang: The more lives I spared, the more enemies I had.
- Yang: The third, I called 'Keep Your Word.'
- Yang: If I said I wasn't going to rob somebody, I wouldn't rob them.
- Yang: If I said I would rob someone, I would.
- Yang: Every other bandit like me is dead, either by mistake or by starvation.
- Yang: Do you know why I'm still alive?
- Yang: Firstly, because no matter whether my mark was hard or soft, I would make sure the intel was complete to guarantee no accidents would happen.
- Yang: Secondly, because no matter whether my enemies were many or few, aside from the White Capes, I never made a powerful enemy.
- Yang: Instead, I would make friends with the powerful. For example, you.
- Yang: Thirdly, it's because I keep my promises, and I value justice.
- Yang: My friends are willing to exert themselves for me. My henchmen are willing to give their lives for me. This is because I am willing to do even more for them.
- Yang: So I will become increasingly powerful, venture into increasingly dangerous territory, and I will be increasingly unable to stop.
- Yang: Humph. So what of it?
- Yang: Who else in this world would dare to live like this? Make so many enemies just to make so much money?
- Yang: Who else in this world would dare to live like this? To live well under a rainstorm of blood? To loot and plunder in the midst of danger?
- Yang: Haha. Even if I only live for a year, I've already surpassed those who keep their head down and live for a hundred!
- Yang: In conclusion? Those who don't enjoy the journey are the ones who care about this kind of crap!
- Yang: All my friends are trying to get me to turn over a new leaf. Don't tell me you are, too?
- Yang: Even if you won't admit it, I know that's what you're thinking.
- Yang: I just want my friends to live peacefully. There's nothing wrong with that. Same goes for you.
- Yang: But... Do you really think I can go back?
- Yang: As long as time can't be reversed, there's no way to truly 'go back.' That's true of anything.
- Yang: People can climb upward. That's easy. It's nothing more than an opportunity to work hard. But climbing back down? No such thing.
- Yang: The only way down is by falling. And the higher you stand, the harder you fall.
- Yang: Right now, the gang is developing on too large a scale. If I were to disband it now, then me, my followers...
- Yang: Nobody's thinking about 'happy endings.'
- Yang: Humph. Is that what you all are hoping for?
- Yang: Turning back is impossible. But it's not like I plan on walking the road to evil.
- Yang: Death for me has no meaning.
- Yang: But when death comes, as far as I and my followers are concerned as well as all my other friends, we all have to make a choice.
- Yang: Watch me die, or... die with me.
- Yang: No matter what you choose, I don't want to just watch.
- Yang: So before then, I want to find a third way forward.
- Yang: Live a little longer, a little more peacefully.
- Yang: You, my other friends, and my followers are worth it.
- Yang: Humph. Even so, it really sounds like running away...
- Yang: It's like giving myself an escape route and using you all as an excuse.
- Yang: I've been running wild half my life, when have I ever done something like that!
- Yang: Perhaps my underlings will think I'm a coward, haha.
- Yang: If they wanna say I'm a coward, let them!
- Yang: If I'm not afraid to be called a coward, and if I let myself get tied down by such a false reputation...
- Yang: Then what right do I have to be proud of anything? Huh?
Dates[]
This section contains spoilers for Date scenes.
False Pretense
- Yang: I'm going to the shelter. You want to come along?
- Player: Yes.
- Scene transition
- Player: You hardly had any time to go to the shelter.
- Player: Be honest, you're here today to...
- Yang: I'm mostly here for the children.
- Yang: And see him while I'm at it.
- Player: Ah...
- Yang: The last time I came here,
- Yang: I played with the kids for a whole afternoon and didn't get to catch up with Chang.
- Player: How come?
- Yang: He hired more people to look after the children...
- Yang: While he did chores like chop firewood, cook, laundry!
- Player: He's a very busy man!
- Yang: So I'm putting on my mean face this visit
- Yang: to teach the snot-nosed kids to be responsible!
- Yang: They should already be doing easy work like washing dishes and laundry!
- Player: You care about Chang, don't you?
- Yang: Not at all.
- Yang: I care about how he's spoiling them!
- Player: Fine, whatever you say.
- Player: All right, let's go.
- Player: Choose a Cannye prospect for your outfit?
- Yang: If only that's the case...
- Yang: That's a dubious thought you're having there.
- Yang: I think it's better if I recruit you into my outfit.
- Player: Eh?
- Yang: Don't mention what you just said when you see Chang.
- Player: Or what?
- Yang: Or... he will kick us both out with a bat!
- Player: I won't.
- Player: All right, let's go.
- Yang: Humph
- Yang: The kids are all fearful of me, but none expressed dislike, either.
- Yang: I've not thought less about them over the years.
- Player: Yeah, you got to start building a relationship when they're young.
- Player: So they tend to put in a good word for you.
- Yang: Ahem.
- Yang: I'd rather hear you praise me.
- Yang: And don't hold back.
- Player: Fine, fine.
- Player: All right, let's go.
Books
- Yang: Help me pick out a book.
- Player: Yes.
- Scene transition
- Yang: I want to pick up a book for the kids in the shelter to read.
- Yang: Got anything to recommend?
- Player: You want an interesting book if you're reading for leisure.
- Player: This novel is brilliant, let me tell you!
- Player: The plot centered on...
- Yang: Stop, no spoilers!
- Yang: I'll read it myself first.
- Yang: Uh, I mean I'll do a pre-screen.
- Yang: If it's too raunchy,
- Yang: no way Chang would even let them have a peek.
- Yang: Neither would I.
- Yang: What's the book about?
- Player: How to make gold.
- Yang: It's self-help?
- Player: No, how to make alchemical gold.
- Player: The baby Cannyes can help you out once they learned alchemy!
- Yang: Why? I got plenty of gold already?
- Yang: The more practical a book is, the drier it is.
- Yang: You read it only to help you fall asleep.
- Yang: Excellent pick!
- Yang: I learned a lot from the book.
- Yang: Housekeeping is hard work, more onerous than robbing someone!
- Player: You had a moment of empathy? That's unexpected!
- Yang: Seriously, though.
- Yang: I read every page of the book,
- Yang: until I came to the last page, which gave special thanks to Chang.
- Player: Then I realized why you chose this book!
- Player: Oh? And what is that?
- Yang: I'll make sure every one of those shelter brats read it,
- Yang: so they'll realize
- Yang: just how hard Chang is working to take care of them!
- Yang: Rather than me forcing them to do chores,
- Yang: it's better for them to understand,
- Yang: and volunteer to help out.
- Yang: You are very thoughtful.
- Player: I love guys who are considerate but pretend it's incidental like you!
- Yang: Way to go!
- Player: ...
Hunting
- Yang: I'm going hunting today, want to come?
- Player: Yes.
- Scene transition
- Yang: Is this your first time?
- Player: Yeah.
- Player: What are we hunting today?
- Yang: Pick one.
- Yang: Whatever you want, I'm down for it.
- Yang: Sure, if that's what you want...
- Yang: Boars move in hordes, usually around 4-10.
- Yang: They gore you with their tusks, that's their main attack.
- Yang: It surely will test your ability to dodge.
- Yang: Make sure you stick close to me,
- Yang: and I'll show you how to catch one!
- Yang: Let's have barbecue boar for dinner tonight!
- Yang: You won't smell a better grill anywhere else!
- Yang: Sure, if that's what you want...
- Yang: Rabbits get scared easily.
- Yang: They're on guard or run away at the first sign of trouble.
- Yang: Thus perfect for honing your stealth.
- Yang: Make sure you stick close to me,
- Yang: and I'll show you how to catch one!
- Yang: Sure, if that's what you want...
- Yang: Minks are cunning fellows.
- Yang: They will test your reflexes and reaction.
- Yang: Make sure you stick close to me,
- Yang: and I'll show you how to catch one!
- Yang: You catch minks not to eat but for their fur.
- Yang: I'll get someone to make you a blanket out of it.
Morality
- Doug: The boss is in trouble. Please save him!
- Player: I'm on it!
- Scene transition
- With the Cannye gangsters leading the way, we circumvented the White Cape encirclement.
- We found Yang hiding under a tree.
- Doug: Quick, save our boss. I'll help you escape.
- Yang: Oh...
- Yang: I didn't expect to see you, haha.
- Player: How did you get hurt so badly?
- Yang: Hahaha.
- Player: Stop moving around so much while I'm trying to bandage you up.
- A few moments later...
- Player: Even though I stopped the bleeding, some of your wounds are deep.
- Player: You need immediate, comprehensive treatment.
- Yang: Humph, I'll just sleep it off.
- Player: Sleep it off? Stop joking around.
- Player: If I'd gotten here any later, you could've died!
- Yang: Are we going? Let's check the surroundings first.
- You can hear the voices of White Capes all around you.
- Judging by how noisy the voices are and how many there seem to be, there's probably no fewer than a hundred White Capes around.
- Player: ...
- Yang: Anyway, we're adequately hidden here.
- Yang: If we're lucky, they won't find us.
- Player: You say it like it's no big deal, but if they find us...
- Yang: We'll die.
- Yang: Haha, what's wrong? Regret coming to find me?
- Player: Every problem has a solution.
- Player: If we give up now, we're really done for.
- Player: But back to what we were talking about...
- Choice - How did you get these injuries?
- Yang: Tch.
- Yang: I was ambushed by those bastards!
- Choice - Why are so many White Capes after you?
- Yang: Many? I don't see that many.
- Yang: I just stole from them a few dozen times, that's all.
- Yang: Oh, I also may have blown up several of their strongholds along the way...
- Player: ...
- Player: Well, the White Capes must hate you, then.
- Yang: Humph. That's a good thing.
- Yang: But clearly, they don't hate me enough yet...
- Player: Are you hoping they'll hate you enough to get impulsive and make a mistake?
- Yang: Very astute of you. You figured that out all by yourself.
- Conversation continues after choices
- Player: Calm down. Don't reopen the wounds.
- Yang: ...
- Yang: I recently received a letter.
- Yang: It said there would be a shipment of goods that would be passing through a White Capes supply outpost.
- Yang: The shipment was so valuable, it would feed me and my men for an entire year.
- Yang: You think I'm going to let a year's worth of meat slip through my fingers?
- Player: So you robbed an outpost head-on?
- Choices start
- Yang: No.
- Yang: So we enlisted everyone we've got.
- Go back to Choices start
- Yang: They were moving it in batches. They were distributed from several different camps and sent to Crossport.
- Yang: But midway, they were all set to pass through this outpost at the same time.
- Yang: I'd have to be out of my mind to attack Crossport.
- Yang: And if we were to attack the separate batches, who would I appoint to lead the other groups?
- Yang: In addition, they've also got several decoy vehicles and have deployed a bunch of arcana traps.
- Yang: So we had no choice but to rob the outpost.
- Yang: The intel was perfect and the plan was flawless.
- Yang: I don't know if word about what we were planning leaked out or what, but they found out!
- Go back to Choices start
- Yang: Yes.
- Yang: But not acting would be even more dangerous.
- Yang: That scoundrel's little old broken home is about to run out of food.
- Player: That... scoundrel?
- Yang: Chang.
- Player: Haha. You guys have a good relationship.
- Yang: I've got a good relationship with who?!
- Player: Sorry, I misspoke. Calm down.
- Yang: It's not just about Chang. I also really need this shipment of goods.
- Yang: So the whole point of the operation was to get the goods.
- Yang: Everything went well at first.
- Yang: Taking the outpost was even easier than I imagined.
- Yang: But pretty soon we found ourselves surrounded by thousands of White Capes.
- Yang: Those scoundrels probably planned all of this.
- Yang: I can't believe I fell for it!
- Yang: I had my henchmen take what they could.
- Yang: And burn what they couldn't.
- Yang: I had the Cannyes who were carrying stuff split up and escape.
- Yang: I drew the attention of the White Capes. After all, I'm the one they hate.
- Yang: The rest... well, you can imagine.
- Yang: I didn't think Doug would really be able to bring you back.
- Player: Your tone makes it sound like you were expecting someone else.
- Choice - Were you going back to seek help from the Cannye?
- Yang: Cannyes?
- Yang: I just hope they find their way to someone to find the treasure.
- Yang: I would never let my people die for nothing.
- Choice - Were you hoping Chang would find you?
- Yang: No!
- Yang: The last person I would want to see here is him.
- Yang: If he saw me like this...
- Yang: Wouldn't he just use it as another pretext to blame me?
- Conversation continues after choices
- Yang: It's good that you came.
- Yang: You can fight, and you won't hurt me.
- Player: ...
- Yang: (Move ears) There's a lot of people nearby.
- Yang: Hey! You!
- Player: Hmm?
- Yang: Once we get out of here, would you have any interest in working with me?
- Player: What?
- Yang: This ambush really got me thinking.
- Yang: Although I've got a lot of Cannyes who work for me, when I run into danger, I'm not strong enough to handle it on my own.
- Yang: Come work with me. Every day, we'll drink potent brews and eat spicy foods. You won't regret it.
- Yang: There's nothing I hate more than eating alone. You get whatever I get.
- Yang: If we conquer a mountain, I'll cut it in two and give you half. If we pull down the moon, I'll pry it apart and give you half.
- Yang: How about it? Will you come work with me?
- Player: Me? Go robbing with you?
- All Choices - "Sorry, I don't like spicy food, I refuse.", "I still want to return to my world. I refuse.", "I'm sorry, I have other plans."
- Yang: Humph! You have no ambition.
- Conversation continues after choices
- Yang: Ow... (His hand clutches his stomach.)
- Player: Your wound is open. Don't move!
- A few moments later...
- Player: Looks like I stopped the bleeding again.
- Player: (If Yang keeps robbing, sooner or later, he's going to die.)
- Player: (Should I try to talk him out of it?)
- Player: How long do you plan to keep doing this?
- Yang: Doing what?
- Player: What else? Robbing.
- Player: If you keep it up, sooner or later, you're going to die!
- Yang: Ha, and who isn't going to die sooner or later?
- Yang: Life is full of risks. Engaging in bloodshed is a risk. Living your life as a nobody is a risk...
- Yang: I'm supposed to care about living? You'd have me spend my whole life under the foot of the White Capes?
- Player: Maybe you don't care, but other people do.
- Yang: ...
- Yang: Oh yeah?
- Yang: You don't understand me, yet you think you're capable of caring?
- Yang: You and I aren't the same.
- Yang: You don't understand me.
- Player: ...
- Yang: Alright...
- Yang: If the people around you.
- Yang: Just because you're different from them.
- Yang: Discriminate against you, humiliate you, and try to kill you over and over again.
- Yang: What would you do?
- Yang: If there's a group of people.
- Yang: For no reason at all, they burn down your homeland.
- Yang: Lynch your loved ones.
- Yang: What would you do?
- Player: I...
- Yang: Then we really do have something in common.
- Yang: All that stuff I just said is why I and my henchmen have really experienced.
- Player: But that doesn't mean you need to rob people.
- Yang: Is it?
- Yang: Then tell me.
- Yang: What organization can I join that will let me kill all the people that I want to kill?
- Yang: Everyone I've killed has deserved it.
- Player: ...
- Player: Then how do you explain robbing normal people?
- Yang: I help keep them safe from harm. Wouldn't you say they should pay me some kind of tax?
- Yang: Also, I just knock out ordinary people.
- Yang: I've never killed one.
- Player: ...
- Yang: Slaughter is addictive.
- Yang: At least, in the eyes of others, you're irredeemable.
- Yang: There's no way back.
- Doug: Boss! The White Capes are all gone!
- Yang: It looks as if luck is on our side.
- Player: All right. I'll take you back. Your injury needs to heal.
- Scene ends
- Yang: I said you and I aren't the same.
- Yang: If God were really as good as you think...
- Yang: There would be no Shadows, and there would be no White Capes.
- Player: ...
- Yang: God is not worthy of faith. Sooner or later, you will understand that.
- Doug: Boss! The White Capes are all gone!
- Yang: It looks as if luck is on our side.
- Player: All right. I'll take you back. Your injury needs to heal.
- Scene ends
- Yang: I said you and I aren't the same.
- Yang: There's always more than one way to do something. I've simply chosen the most effective way!
- Player: You cannot let hatred fill your heart.
- Player: Nobody can change the past.
- Player: You think revenge is going to change the way things are?
- Player: You and your fellow Cannyes are only going to make people discriminate against Gyees and Cannyes even more!
- Yang: That's right. Then the Gyee and the Cannye will hate them even more!
- Yang: Don't tell me that you think there's going to be peace before someone wins or loses this thing?
- Player: Even if we win, will the peace last forever?
- Player: Even if Gyees became the dominant force, normal people would still resist them...
- Player: Unless you think we should kill them all? Kill them all off?
- Player: You kill one, there will be a whole group of them swearing revenge against you.
- Player: The last one to die will be you.
- Player: Even if you don't care.
- Player: You need to think about the Cannyes that believe in you.
- Yang: ...
- Doug: Boss! The White Capes are all gone!
- Player: It looks as if luck is on our side.
- Player: All right. I'll take you back. Your injury needs to heal.
- Scene ends
- Player: (Forget it. Everyone's got their own ambitions.)
- Player: (I don't want to meddle in other people's affairs.)
- Player: A short while later...
- Yang: (Move ears.) Seems like the White Capes have left.
- Doug: Boss! The White Capes are all gone!
- Yang: Quiet! You fool, don't draw them back here!
- Player: All right, I'll take you back. Your injury needs immediate treatment.
- Yang: There's no need. I'm used to these kinds of injuries.
- Yang: I can go back on my own.
- Yang: That's right, weren't you going to try to persuade me to turn my life around?
- Player: The thought had occurred to me.
- Yang: Haha. Thank you for helping me. And thank you for repressing that thought.
- Yang: We'll see each other soon enough. You're my real friend.
- Scene ends
- Yang: ...
- Yang: That will be the day.
- Yang: He's the only one I can't give up on.
- Yang: That guy's thinking is too naive.
- Yang: The world is a lot more complicated than he realizes.
- Player: Even if it was for Chang.
- Player: Don't waste your life on being a robber.
- Yang: Oh, and I should be like him, and waste my life being virtuous?
- Yang: Ha. If I want to live my own life, I'm going to get my hands dirty.
- Yang: Not everyone is born with a just and honorable character.
- Yang: It's very clear that Chang is not suited to this work.
- Yang: My hands have been dirty for a long time.
- Yang: They can't be washed clean.
- Yang: If death is my fate, then so be it.
- Yang: It's just the same as those people that killed me.
- Yang: As long as that guy is still alive.
- Player: You can go back.
- Player: Join the Order of Equality, the Oathblades, or the Shadowhunters.
- Player: Your abilities are powerful, and the Cannyes' abilities are unique.
- Player: You all would become a force to be reckoned with.
- Yang: Don't I need to make enough money first?
- Yang: And I need to put some accomplishments under my belt.
- Yang: Otherwise, all I can do is provide for myself and my henchmen.
- Yang: After all, there's also that old broken home.
- Yang: I'll think about what you said.
- Doug: Boss! The White Capes are all gone!
- Player: All right. I'll take you back. Your injury needs to heal.
- Scene ends
- Player: (Forget it. Everyone's got their own ambitions.)
- Player: (I don't want to meddle in other people's affairs.)
- A short while later...
- Yang: (Move ears.) Seems like the White Capes have left.
- Doug: Boss! The White Capes are all gone!
- Yang: Quiet! You fool, don't draw them back here!

- Yang: You're scared of just a handful of White Capes?
- Yang: You're pretty chicken-hearted, aren't you?
- Player: I still want to return to my world.
- Player: Dying here would be too tragic.
- Doug: Boss! The White Capes are all gone!
- Player: The White Capes gave up that quickly?
- Yang: Haha, looks like fate favors you.
- Scene ends

Hard Fight at Night
Wesley's young brother joined Yang's Mafia which infuriates Wesley. He comes up to you, hoping you can talk his brother out of this. It's said the mafia was co-founded by him and Yang. And you are wondering why Yang would become the Alpha of Cannyes. Maybe Wesley's brother knows something.
- Scene - Never Isle
- Wesley: You're finally here!
- Player: Why'd you call me here so urgently?
- Choice 1A - You want to give me a present?
- Wesley: Yeah!
- Wesley: Of course I've got a present for you! But I need your help with something first!
- Player: With what?
- Choice 1B - You got some new precious treasures?
- Wesley: Do you see any new precious treasures lying around?
- Wesley: I haven't sold the old ones yet!
- Player: What happened?
- Choice 1C - You miss Magic Buns?
- Wesley: What would I miss him for?!
- Wesley: I asked you to come here because I've got something extremely, extremely important to deal with!
- Player: Like what?
- Conversation continues after choices
- Wesley: I have a younger brother. Did you know that?
- Wesley: He's huge. But he's got no ambition...
- Wesley: He doesn't want to come help me with my business. He just wants to sit in his chair up in the tree rocking under the sun all day long.
- Wesley: That's all fine, except!
- Wesley: I don't know how he managed it, but he joined a...
- Wesley: Gang!
- Player: Could it be the Yang organization?
- Wesley: I don't care for these cows and sheep!
- Wesley: We are Cannye! Extremely noble Cannye!
- Wesley: He's willing to run around fighting with cows and sheep, but he won't come into business with me?!
- Wesley: And he hasn't even told me! I had to hear it from a friend!
- Wesley: It really pisses me off!
- Wesley: These gangsters! All they know is stealing! They even stole from my suppliers!
- Wesley: Three suppliers have been robbed. One of them isn't willing to supply me with goods anymore!
- Wesley: It makes me so angry!
- Wesley: He wrote me a letter saying he's coming to the island to see me. I'm going to ask him about the gang!
- Wesley: I want you here to hear it, too. Help me think of a way and see if we can talk some sense into him!
- Choices start
- Wesley: Because the leader of their gang is a Gyee!
- Wesley: I thought if I found another Gyee to persuade him, the Gyee might side with them.
- Wesley: If I found just a normal human, he wouldn't listen to a word they said!
- Wesley: If I found a Cannye, and they got pulled into the gang with him...
- Wesley: But you! You're not a human, a Gyee, or a Cannye! You're an Avatar!
- Wesley: You're the only one in Luxium who can help me!
- Go back to Choices start
- Wesley: You're a real social butterfly! You know everyone! You're friends with all kinds of people!
- Wesley: In this business, I don't get to meet many people
- Wesley: Their boss-the boss of these sheep and cows-what kind of man is he?
- Player: Their boss is called Yang. But he's not a cow or a sheep. He's a Gyee in wolf-form.
- Player: He's not someone you want to mess with. He gives off a very sinister and dangerous feeling.
- Player: The kind of guy who's well-suited to leading a gang?
- Player: Although I've met him, I don't know him too well.
- Wesley: Humph. Well, that's good. If you were the type to get close to that kind of guy, I wouldn't sell you anything!
- Go back to Choices start
- Wesley: Hard times? I brought you here to talk on my behalf!
- Wesley: Not to talk on his behalf! Don't make excuses for him!
- Player: All right. I'll do my best to talk some sense into him!
- Wesley: That's what I wanted to hear! That's the friend I know and love!
- Go back to Choices start
- Wesley: Ok!
- Wesley: He's here!
- Go to Part 2
- Doug: Brother! I'm here to see you!
- Doug: I also brought you a nice gift!
- Wesley: I don't want to see it! I don't need to see it to know it was stolen!
- Wesley: Baking in the sun at home wasn't good enough for you? You had to go join a gang and learn how to rob people?!
- Wesley: And look at how you're dressed!
- Wesley: You've made me very angry!
- Doug: Brother... we don't have a home anymore...
- Player: What happened?
- Doug: You humans burned it to the ground!
- Doug: If I hadn't hidden as quickly as I had, I would've been cooked, too!
- Player: Don't take it out on me. I didn't burn anything down...
- Wesley: Our home burned down, and now you're here to see me. Let's run this business together then! Why are you joining a gang?!
- Wesley: I may not know your boss, and I may not know any sheep or cow, but I do know that they're no good!
- Doug: Who are you to talk about our boss like that? His name is Yang! And he's one of the greatest Gyee there is!
- Wesley: Who is he to you? You're a Cannye! What are you doing hanging around with a person like that!
- Doug: I was just going to tell you! If you could only know how great he was, you'd join us, too!
- Wesley: What are you talking about?! What makes you think I'd want to join?!
- Wesley: Forget it. I'm not going to fight with you. You got something to say, say it.
- Doug: It was a windless night. In the quiet of the mountains, all you could hear was the sound of flowing water...
- Wesley: Get to the point!
- Doug: Don't be impatient! The boss was sleeping in his cave. Even then, though, he was stilly alert!
- Doug: Mixed in with the sound of the flowing water, he heard footsteps!
- Doug: The boss quietly got up. With his great hearing, he knew who and how many came there.
- Wesley: Is your dad a bat? Or an owl?
- Doug: Don't interrupt me!
- Doug: The boss determined there were about 20 White Capes surrounding him. He got up and went to the mouth of the cave...
- Doug: His footsteps were light and rhythmic. He kept pace with the party outside so as to mask the sound of his own footsteps.
- Doug: The White Capes walked into the cave one-by-one, totally unprepared for what was waiting for them...
- Doug: Suddenly, a scream broke the silence! A White Cape Warrior fell to the ground clutching his neck!
- Doug: Chaos followed: shouts, cries, yells! Wah! Ow! Ah! Ooh!
- Doug: The sword cut through the air! Swish! Swish! Swish! Crack! Bang! Crack! Bang!
- Doug: The sound of cloth being torn! Shah! Tear! Cha! Cha! Cha!
- Doug: Finally, all that was left was the sound of the flowing water again. And the sound of fresh blood dripping. Drip... drip... drip...
- Choice 1A - You make it sound like you were there.
- Doug: Uh... um...
- Wesley: You're just guessing this is how it went down?
- Doug: Uh... well, I'm guessing at the details...
- Wesley: Then you're talking nonsense!
- Doug: Well anyway... the result is the same!
- Choice 1B - And then your boss ran away, didn't he?
- Doug: Uh... maybe?
- Wesley: What do you mean, maybe? Twenty White Capes!
- Wesley: You'd have to be crazy not to run!
- Doug: It's badass! Fighting and living to tell about it is badass!
- Choice 1C - (I'd better not interrupt...)
- No additional dialog
- Conversation continues after choices
- Doug: After defeating... after knocking back all those White Capes, the boss ran into the forest.
- Doug: That was right after our home had burnt down. All I could do was wander around the forest...
- Doug: Because I was bored and I was angry, I kicked a rock and... discovered the boss!
- Wesley: The rock hit him in the head, didn't it?
- Doug: That's none of your business!
- Doug: I saw his whole body was covered in blood. I wanted to help him get bandaged up, but the boss didn't let me.
- Wesley: You mean he ignored you?
- Doug: The boss is a tough guy!
- Doug: The boss hobbled down the mountain. I wanted to give him a hand, but...
- Wesley: You couldn't reach?
- Wesley: Wait till you have to jump up just to slap someone on the belly, then we'll talk!
- Doug: Keep running your mouth!
- Doug: In short, the boss wouldn't let me help him. All I could do was walk behind him and cover up his blood trail....
- Doug: I kept following the boss. He arrived at a precipice over a swamp.
- Doug: Suddenly, he jumped off the cliff into the swamp with a plop! It scared me to death!
- Choice 2A - He's got style, I'll hand him that.
- Wesley: No wonder you've chosen him over me.
- Wesley: You don't think I've got style?!
- Doug: Don't talk nonsense! He did it so he could heal up!
- Doug: The swamp's of all kinds of herbs and plants! They rot and mix together and turn the swamp into a giant healing pond!
- Doug: You guys haven't seen it for yourselves, so you have no idea.
- Wesley: Is this something you figured out yourself or is it something your boss told you?
- Doug: Don't interrupt me! I'm not finished yet!
- Choice 2B - He was just trying to survive. - 11 Intimacy
- Doug: Huh? How did you know that?
- Doug: I didn't know until my boss told me later on.
- Doug: The swamp's of all kinds of herbs and plants! They rot and mix together and turn the swamp into a giant healing pond!
- Wesley: I bet you didn't know either. You just guessed it from the fact that the boss survived, right?
- Choice 2B.1 - Stop lingering on irrelevant details...
- Doug: I'm telling you, the boss is a really smart guy!
- Choice 2B.2 - I read it in a novel once.
- Doug: What novel? I'd like to read it!
- Player: Oh... you probably can't get it in this world. Please continue!
- Choice 2C - Did you jump with him?
- Doug: Oh... I wouldn't dare. I found another way down.
- Doug: At the time, I thought the boss was dead. I went down to get his corpse...
- Doug: But when I got down there, I saw the boss hadn't sunk into the water-he was floating on top of it!
- Doug: And he was blinking!
- Doug: Afterward, the boss told me...
- Doug: The swamp's of all kinds of herbs and plants! They rot and mix together and turn the swamp into a giant healing pond!
- Doug: You guys haven't seen it for yourselves, so you have no idea.
- Wesley: You didn't know that either, right?
- Doug: Don't interrupt me! I'm not finished yet!
- Conversation continues after choices
- Doug: He climbed out of the swamp several days later, covered in mud...
- Wesley: You waited for him the whole time? You took a fancy to him, didn't you?
- Doug: Don't be silly. I saw how strong he was and wanted him to help me build a house!
- Doug: Now where was I? Oh yeah. While the boss was in the swamp, some White Capes came poking around!
- Doug: If I hadn't helped the boss cover up his blood trail, he would've been found for sure!
- Wesley: So did he help you build the house?
- Doug: We have more important stuff to do! Who has time for a lousy old house?
- Wesley: What do you mean, lousy old house? I worked hard to build that house!
- Doug: Compared to the castle we're living in now, it was just a lousy old house!
- Doug: Stop fussing! Let me finish!
- Doug: The White Capes were the ones who burned our house down! They've captured a bunch of Cannyes!
- Doug: The boss and I have decided to get revenge! We make a really great team!
- Wesley: Sniffing around for clues makes you part of a team, does it?
- Doug: Uh... doesn't it?
- Doug: To make a long story short, we used the cover of night to attack the White Capes camp! We killed all of them!
- Wesley: What are you doing rushing into danger like that?!
- Doug: The boss was covering me! The White Capes didn't stand a chance!
- Doug: We saved all our fellow Cannyes! Even that girl you liked when you were younger, Naa!
- Wesley: What are you talking about? Naa... has joined your gang?!
- Doug: Yeah! Where else would you have her go?
- Doug: And now we don't have to worry about what to wear or eat! Life is good!
- Wesley: Hey, why haven't you said anything yet! Help me talk some sense into this imp!
- Wesley: Sooner or later they'll be dead if they keep on like this!
- Player: (What position should I take? I did promise Wesley...)
- Player: (But if Doug tells Yang what I've said, what's he going to think of me?)
- Doug: Humph. Boss says:
- Doug: 'The law is a bigger threat to the innocent than it is to the truly guilty.'
- Doug: Don't you two understand?
- Doug: If it weren't for the boss, all those Cannye would be dead by now!
- Doug: You think the Cannye will live prosperous lives following a legitimate path?
- Choice 3A.1 - Just look at your brother...
- Doug: Humph... You think all Cannyes can live as comfortably as him?
- Doug: Moreover, he doesn't care how other Cannyes live!
- Doug: If we're being perfectly honest, he's just another corrupt, rich man!
- Wesley: You...! What gives you the right to say such things about me? You're pissing me off!
- Doug: If we can't come to an understanding, then there's no point in talking at all!
- Doug: Here's your present. I'm out!
- Player: We'll just have to think up some other way...
- Wesley: Or maybe he's right...
- Player: Hey now! Don't tell me you're also...
- Player: How about I try talking to his boss and seeing what happens?
- Wesley: Mmm... thank you!
- Wesley: Although our plan didn't work, I still promised you a gift. Here you go!
- Player: Thank you! (It almost doesn't feel right to take it...)
- Scene ends
- Choice 3A.2 - Chang's Cannye Shelter isn't so bad! - 5 Intimacy
- Doug: Everything we do is for the shelter!
- Doug: Don't tell me that you think we keep what we steal and trade all for ourselves?
- Doug: If all the shelter had to rely on were those tiny donations, they wouldn't be able to help anybody!
- Doug: All I can say is it's unfair. Hmph. You all have no idea how hard we've been working!
- Doug: You guys simply don't understand. Here's your precious present. I'm leaving!
- Player: We'll just have to think up some other way...
- Doug: A way out? What do you mean, a way out?
- Choice 3B.1- For example, join the Oathblades? - 11 Intimacy
- Player: The Oathblades have sworn vengeance upon the White Capes, just like you.
- Player: Consider joining the Oathblades. You could have a Cannye battalion.
- Player: It would be a lot better to have the help of the Oathblades and your own shelter, wouldn't it?
- Player: You would also have the support of intelligence. It would be safer, and your operations would be more focused.
- Player: It's certainly not as bad as accidentally stealing the goods of honest businessmen!
- Doug: Actually, it's not like I haven't thought about it... the boss has thought a lot about it.
- Doug: But he doesn't think the time is right! And he seems to prefer the Order of Equality...
- Player: He prefers the Order of Equality?!
- Player: (Perhaps he feels that working with Master Jonas's business group would be profitable?)
- Doug: I can't be sure. He doesn't like to share his true opinions on things...
- Wesley: Well if you want to join the Oathblades, I don't have any objection.
- Wesley: Of course, the Order of Equality would be even better...
- Wesley: Just stop this shady business with the gangsters!
- Doug: I know, brother. It's just that at this stage, I don't have a choice!
- Wesley: Hmm. It would seem that way...
- Wesley: That's right! What is this present you brought me? Let me take a look at it.
- Wesley: My God! What a large bucket of bone marrow!
- Doug: Haha. As long as you like it, brother.
- Player: Well don't let me keep you two from reminiscing. I'll be heading out now...
- Wesley: Yes! Thank you very much! Oh, that's right! I promised you a gift!
- Player: Thank you! Well, I'll be leaving then!
- Scene ends
- Choice 3B.2 - For example, get everyone together and move to Never Isle? - 8 Intimacy
- Player: I think if you'd be willing, Never Isle would accept you.
- Doug: No good. What would we do once we came to Never Isle? All those Cannyes?
- Doug: Don't tell me we'd just sit around waiting for someone to take care of us?
- Doug: That's not the kind of life we want...
- Doug: We've come to enjoy the feeling of working hard to build our own fortune.
- Wesley: That's what you call it? Working hard to build your fortune?
- Wesley: That's clearly not your fortune! It's the fortune others built! You just stole it!
- Doug: But...
- Wesley: No buts!
- Wesley: You're making me so angry! If you keep up this gangster business with these cows and sheep...
- Wesley: Then I don't want to be your older brother anymore!
- Doug: Humph! Fine by me! Sooner or later, I'll prove we're right!
- Player: We'll just have to think up some other way...
- Wesley: What are you saying? I called you here to help me persuade him, not help him out!
- Choice 3C.1 - Fighting for your compatriots is a pretty cool thing to do. - 15 Intimacy
- Wesley: I concede, but...
- Player: Maybe they're not in the wrong, they're just taking back what they deserve.
- Wesley: I understand...
- Doug: Brother, don't worry about me! I will not stray from the path I've chosen!
- Doug: Thank you very much!
- Doug: And I see a very valuable quality in you!
- Doug: You may have rejected my older brother, but you didn't let him down too harshly!
- Doug: Our boss taught me once, when dealing with those closest to you...
- Doug: Even if you must say no, you must say it as nicely as if you are saying yes. And this is especially true when dealing with your enemies!
- Doug: You've got a real talent for conversation. I could learn a lot from you, because I'm no good at it!
- Doug: Then I must go, brother. I'll leave my present here for you. You must take it!
- Player: So um...
- Wesley: I'm in no mood for business right now. I need to think. You should go back.
- Player: (It really is difficult to please everyone...)
- Scene ends
- Choice 3C.2 - As long as he's careful, it wouldn't be too dangerous. - 11 Intimacy
- Doug: Of course! Our boss says...
- Doug: The most important word he's ever learned in his life is 'careful'!
- Doug: Don't look at him as some kind of savage. In actuality, he's not an impulsive guy!
- Doug: And he never tries to do wrong by people!
- Wesley: Making enemies of the White Capes is dangerous enough as it is!
- Wesley: Besides, what does this have to do with danger?
- Wesley: You don't think there are innocents among those you've robbed?
- Wesley: My three suppliers are normal people who have good relationships with the Cannye and the Gyee!
- Wesley: And you've robbed them all! Two of them are still doing business with me!
- Wesley: I almost cannot bear to face them!
- Wesley: You're making me so angry! If you keep up this gangster business with these cows and sheep...
- Wesley: Then I don't want to be your older brother anymore!
- Doug: Humph! Fine by me! Sooner or later, I'll prove we're right!
- Wesley: And you! I really misjudged you!
- Wesley: I'm not doing you any more favors!
- Player: I'm only...
- Wesley: I'm not listening anymore! I'm too angry!
- Player: (How did this happen...)
- Scene ends
