Defensive swordsmen can not only attack enemies with their greatswords but also shift into more defensive stances to ward off attacks.

Info[]

The Defense Swordsman is a secondary Spec that the player can unlock if they have access to the Strategy Swordsman.

The player needs the following resources to unlock the Defense Swordsman:

  • Metal Flux Crystal x120
  • Gold x100,000

He starts with the following skills unlocked:

  • Basic Skill

    • Taunt

    • Flux Barrier
  • Mastery
    • Heart of Guardianship

Leveling the Defense Swordsman with Metal Flux crystals will randomly upgrade his existing skills and unlock others.

Skill Description
Swordsman deals P.DMG equal to P.ATK*[Skill Level] to 2 enemies and inflicts Taunt on the primary target (this effect ignores Resistance). There is a high chance to inflict Taunt on the secondary target. Then recover 35 Rage himself.
  • [Taunt]: While the effect is active, loses control over the character, and deals normal attack to the spell caster for 2 round.

  • War Preparation
    • Swordsman casts Taunt to get the [War Preparation] effect.

    • Increases the chance of inflicting Taunt on the secondary target for this skill.

Skill Description
Swordsman releases flux, inflicting Vigilance on 1 ally, and reducing the damage received by [Skill Level]. Then recover 35 Rage himself.
  • [Vigilance]: The spell caster covers all the incoming melee skill damage you for 2 rounds.

Skill Description
Swordsman spins the giant sword, dealing P.DMG equal to P.ATK *290% to 2 enemies, inflicting upon the main target Shock which ignores Resistance; with a high chance to Shock the secondary target. The use of skill recovers 35 Rage and grants Commanding.
  • Shock: Stun effect. While the effect is active, the character goes out of control, damage taken increased by 8%. Lasts 2 rounds. Can be purified.
  • Commanding: While the effect is active, damage taken is reduced by 25%. Lasts 2 rounds. Can be dispelled.
Passives

  • Dominator
    • Increases [Commanding]'s Damage Reduction by 20% (upon unlocking passive, Damage Reduction is increased from 25% to 30%).
  • Agitation
    • [Suffocation Kills] inflicts [Super Rage] on self.
      • [Super Rage]: While the effect is active, gains 5 Rage before taking action every round. Lasts 2 rounds and cannot be dispelled.


Ultimate Skills[]

The Defense Swordsman can equip one of the following ultimate skills:


Flux Barrier

Skill Description
Swordsman throws out a flux grenade, and creates a Flux Barrier for all allies. This skill consumes all Rage. If the Rage consumed is more than 80, additionally increases the shield HP of Flux Barrier. When Flux Barrier disappears for absorbing too much damage, returns 50% of Rage consumed.
  • Flux Barrier: While the effect is active, absorbs damage equal to Swordsman's Max HP *[Skill Level] (the value increases as the skill levels up) for 2 rounds.

    • [Flux Barrier] shield value increases by 15%.

Absolute Defense

Skill Description
Swordsman gathers flux on his sword to get the Absolute Defense effect. This skill consumes all Rage. Extra Resistance will be provided if the skill is used when Rage is over 80.
  • Absolute Defense: While the effect is active, reduces DMG taken by [Skill Level] (the reduction effect improves as the skill levels up), gains immunity to skill DMG 1 time and deals DMG equal to Swordsman's ATK *150% to the attacker when the character takes DMG, lasting 2 rounds.

    • [Absolute Defense] damage reduction increases by 15%.

Skill Description
Upon casting 1 skill, Swordsman gains 1 stack of [Persistence]. For each 4 blocks of any enemy, you gain [Adaptation].
  • [Persistence]:When the effect is active, each stack can reduce the damage received by (4.33% + Mastery Bonus), stacking up to 4 times. Further stacks will be auto removed upon reaching the cap.
  • [Adaptation]:When the effect is active, casting Strike will apply Taunt to the target. Lasts till the end of the battle or next cast of Strike.

Flux Combo

Skill Description
Ignores the target's shield effects, reduces massive HP of all the enemies. The reduction value is related to the team's level and energy.

Defense

While in the defense status, damage received decreases by 10% for 1 round.

Hide

Unlocked at Spec Level 18
Skill Description
When you receive a fatal damage, has a chance to enter the [Hide] status.

Stage 1
Unlocked at Spec Level 10
Increases self's DMG Dealt by 3%, if the wearer is a [Metal] Flux Avatar or Gyee, additionally increases the damage by 7%.
Stage 2
Unlocked at Spec Level 15
Reduces self's DMG taken from avatars or Gyees by 8%, and additionally reduces self's DMG taken from [Woods] flux avatars or Gyees by 16%.
Stage 3
Unlocked at Spec Level 20
When battle begins, self gets [Defender], and grants all allies [Shelter].
  • [Defender], lasts 22 rounds, cannot be purified, removed upon defeat, and cannot be stacked up.
    • Reduces self P.DMG taken by 25%.
  • [Shelter], lasts 22 rounds, cannot be dispelled, removed upon defeat, and cannot be stacked up.
    • Reduces self single-targeted damage taken by 60% and shares the rest damage with attacker equally. This damage is regarded as P.DMG.
