Intro[]

One ominous night, a terrible tragedy was brought on by an act of kindness, resulting in the orphaning of Shawn, 5 years old at the time. Brian, having witnessed everything, felt himself possessed by some strange psychological impulse to take the tragic child and raise him on his own.

Ten years later, having been raised in a White Cape camp, Shawn accepted the White Capes 'Representative of Justice' line of thinking. Regretting having invited disaster by helping a Gyee, he joined the Sword of Light like his adoptive father. However, Shawn found that the hand that had been bitten by a Gyee girl ten years ago and was abnormal. He harbored the fear that he had caught the Gyee 'virus.' He confessed this to Osmond, who hid from him the truth that Brian had entrusted him with long ago - that Shawn had always been a Gyee. Shawn, ignorant of the truth, could only bury the torturous secret of his strange hand inside his heart.

As such, Shawn, as a White Cape reserve soldier, spent his tough childhood under Brian's care, getting bullied by his envious peers. Later on, Shawn was injured during a Shadow attack. Just as the Shadows had surrounded him, a mysterious figure in black saved him and then fell into a river, disappearing...

The Divine Blade's power grows as Shawn's faith grows. Increases damage when [Divine Blade's Mark] is removed by (26.16% + Mastery Bonus). Shawn will be granted with 4 stacks of [Resilience] effect at the beginning of the battle. [Resilience]: While the effect is active, the character is immune to control, and self damage dealt is increased by 10% upon each stack. Removes 1 stack when receiving P.DMG, up to 6 stacks, lasting until the battle is over. Cannot be dispelled.

Oberth: That's not what I want to say to you. I AM you. This is what you want to say to yourself.

Oberth: You run from your destiny, from the truth, from yourself.

Oberth: Your family is ashamed of you.

Oberth slowly dissipates into nothing

When you are finished with the journal, the owner still hasn't shown up.

Deep into thoughts...

Scene - Fade to black

-Choice A - Bury the journal as well as its secrets.

It slowly occurs to you this is the best place for secrets...

After Brian takes the journal, he remains silent for a long time. Then he thanks you without further words.

Shawn looks at you with his innocent eyes and denies that the journal belongs to him. But he thanks you and takes it anyway.

He is on his way to send a letter and a gift to Daley. But he turns around and asks you a question...

Shawn: Player, do you know how to politely reject someone's love without hurting their feelings?

Player: ...

Scene - The past, at a pool

Shawn remembers what happened in Elysiann.

Shawn: Daley, why don't you ask Shirou to go with you?

Shawn: You guys are glued together.

Daley: (Pursing his lip) It's about time you learned how to swim...

Daley: What if you fall into river again and no one is around to save you?

Shawn: (Scratch his head) Ah.

Daley leaps into the pool and gestures Shawn to join him.

Shawn dives in and makes some splashes.

Shawn: Daley, have you ever seen someone learn how to swim in a bathhouse?

Daley: (Unreasonable) You are here.

Shawn: Ha-ha! Ouch (his wound hurts after laughing too hard) O-okay, you got me.

Daley: Ah... Your wound is not fully healed yet.

Daley: (Purse his lips) Still hurt?

Shawn: Yeah.

Daley: Then stop laughing so hard.

Shawn: I am laughing at myself. I am probably the first wounded person who learned how to swim in a bathhouse.

Daley: Hm... Sorry.

Shawn: Daley, I am fine. I was joking. It's healed long ago.

Daley: I forgot that you are wounded. I shouldn't have dragged you to practice holding your breath with me.

Shawn: Breath-holding? Why would you want to learn that?

Daley's face, now red from the sauna heat, looks immensely innocent.

Daley: Shawn, I told you that Shirou is like air to me, right?

Daley: So, I must learn how to hold my breath now.

After that, Daley takes a deep breath and dives into the water.

Shawn watches the floating bubbles dissipate and releases a sigh into the steaming water.

Shawn: Daley, you can't hold your breath forever.

After a long period of time, Daley is still immersed in water.

Pressing on the wound, Shawn scoops Daley out of the water.

Daley: (Coughing, sniffing and then howlng suddenly) Shawn!!

Shawn: I'm right here, Daley...

Daley: (Continual howling) It's so hard for me!!

Daley: I can't live without air. But I don't want to give up on you...

Shawn: Daley, I don't understand what you are saying, but...

Shawn: Air is more important, isn't it?

Daley: ... Huh?

Daley: (Act unlike himself) Ha-ha... You... You're right.

Shawn: ...

Daley rubs his eyes so hard to stop his tears from falling and pastes on a happy face.

Daley: Shawn.

Daley: I don't want to be your senior. Let's just be pals. Like Shirou and me!

Shawn: Huh?

Shawn: What are you talking about?

Daley: (Purse his lips) Actually, you don't see me as your senior at all, right?

Shawn: Yeah, I do.

Shawn: But why did you ask me that, Daley?

Daley: Em...

Daley: (Look away) I don't want to be your senior. It's so hard for me.

Shawn: ...

Daley: (Frustrated sigh) I bared my soul to you and you still don't understand. You are such a fool, Shawn!

Shawn: (Embarrassed and torn) Daley... I am really a fool. But could you teach me how to swim now?

-Choice D - Give the journal to a shrink as a patient's confessions.

The shrink thinks it's just fiction. But he subtly suggests you do an assessment of your mental status there.

Scene - Outside Shawn's window

Sleepless, Shawn stares at his naked finger under the moonlight.

It's only been a few days, he thinks. But he is now used to the absence of the ring he wore for ten years.

Habits are not to be trusted.

Soon new habits will replace old ones.

A life bound by habits would be pathetic.

After reading the interrogation notes in the living room, Brian tiptoes into the bedroom.

Shawn sits on the bed, staring at the bedroom door. He's been like this for quite a while.

Brian raises his head and looks right into Shawn's glowing eyes, despite the darkness.

Shawn: Papa...

Brian: What happened?

Shawn: I couldn't find you. I was worried.

Brian stays silent for a moment.

Brian: I was in the living room. Why didn't you check?

Shawn finds tears welling up in his eyes.

Shawn: I was afraid...

Shawn: That I couldn't even find you there.

Shawn's tears fall heavily onto his blanket, a sound so loud in the silence of night.

Brian walks up to Shawn's bedside and pats his head covered with smooth hair.

Remembering his age, Shawn could no longer put his head against Papa's chest. Yet he doesn't want to draw back either. He just stays there.

Along with his tears, something on his mind gradually melts and fades away...

Brian slowly moves his hand away. Shawn lies down and tugs his blanket around him. Brian goes back to his bed.

After a lengthy silence, Brian finally speaks after a sigh.

Brian: ...

Brian: Did you lose that ring on purpose?

Shawn: ...

Shawn: Yeah.

Brian: ...

Brian: Your grandfather gave it to you. Now I found it.

Shawn: ...

Shawn: But I don't need it. Can you keep it for me?

Brian: ...

Shawn: Sorry...

Shawn: I am sorry for making you uncomfortable.

Shawn: I won't say those things again.

Shawn: I promise.

Brian: ...

Brian: Go to sleep now.

Shawn: ...

Shawn: Ok.
