Carter - Team Mike's driver.
It's said he got face burnt for saving Mike. Solemn and never takes off his mask.
He paid the ultimate sacrifice. Can you accept who he is?
Intro[]
As the only son of the butler, Carter grew up with Mike and Martin, taking care of them like an elder brother. On Mike's 20th birthday party, Martin set fire to the whole place and it was Carter that saved Mike's life. Since then, Carter has totally changed. He no longer talks or wears the suit he used to wear everyday. Instead, he covers himself with a weird magic gown and a skull mask, beneath which not a trace of his face can be seen. Even so, he has been taking care of Mike after he was burned. When Mike decided to go on a journey as a businessman to find Martin, Carter still followed him, as his butler and driver.

Consolation Letter[]
First of all, thank you for your help, and please forgive me for not being able to show my gratitude clearly at that time.
Actually I can understand words in all forms, though I can't speak or write them, so this letter was written by Master Mike. I hope you don't mind that.
It would be a pleasure if I can say thank you to you in person, as that would show more of my sincerity.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours, Carter
(This is Mike. I would like to let you know something! Carter may look like a vicious guy who uses forbidden magics, and he even has no face or the ability to talk, but that's because he's cursed! On the inside, actually, he is still a kindhearted, righteous man and a good friend! If you would like to make friends with him, come to me. I'll be your translator!)

Intimacy Breakthrough[]
This section contains spoilers for Intimacy Breakthrough scenes.
- Carter nods twice.
- Player: (What's that supposed to mean? Does it mean he likes these gifts?)
- Carter comes directly forward, his hands holding a plate...
- Player: Could it be... Red wine foie gras?
- Player: Looks pretty high-quality and delicious...
- Mikes car comes whistling in and pulls to a stop in front of you.
- The window rolls down and you see Carter's handsome... Mask.
- Carter raises his head and lifts his chin (if he has one)...
- It seems like he says...
- Get in! Let's go for a spin!'
- Choji: Do you know any fortune tellers?
- Player: No.
- Player: What are you looking for a fortune teller for?
- Choji: I'm not looking for one, Carter is.
- Choji: Usually I'm in charge of making the food, while Carter is in charge of scrubbing the bowls.
- Choji: Today when he was scrubbing the bowls, his hand was slippery and he broke one.
- Choji: When he was picking up the pieces of the bowl, one of the pieces opened a gash in his hand.
- Choji: He looked like he'd been possessed. He just stared blankly.
- Choji: He stared blankly as the blood dripped on the floor. He didn't want to wrap it up.
- Choji: I didn't blame him. Even though I loved the bowl dearly, I still tried to comfort him first.
- Choji: I told him, 'Who hasn't had an accident by the sink?'
- Choji: But... he didn't move. I quickly shouted for Master Mike.
- Choji: After Master Mike saw the pattern of the blood on the floor, he rushed to find a fortune teller.
- Choji: I don't know why.
- Player: Even though I don't know any fortune tellers...
- Player: I have some divination dominoes. They're actually pretty effective.
- Player: Maybe it would be better to give them to Mike and have him read Carter's fate?
- Choji: All right. Come with me!
- Scene transition
- Player: What was the verdict of the divination?
- Mike: The verdict was...
- Mike: The blood crisis is over!
- Mike: Carter will be safe and will not have any difficulties.
- Player: Uh...
- Player: Does Carter believe this hypothesis?
- Mike: Shh!! (Low voice) Don't expose me in front of others...
- Carter: ...
- Player: What does Carter want to say?
- Mike: He says he doesn't believe Master Mike's prophecy. That he's just trying to console him.
- Player: ...
- Carter: ...
- Mike: He says, thank you for your enthusiasm, and for using the incomprehensible divination dominoes to help read his future.
- Player: ...
- Carter: ...
- Mike: He says that when he squatted down to pick up the pieces of the bowl, he sprained his lower back!
- Mike: So all he could do was remain in one position and didn't dare move. He didn't think Choji would misunderstand.
- Carter: ...
- Mike: He says that when he saw the blood, he remembered the blood sacrifice and the organization of the Faceless Ones.
- Mike: But that he cherished that moment...
- Mike: That's why he will do as much as he can to adjust his mentality and not think about the unknown things that may happen in the future.
- Carter: ...
- Mike: He also says he's sorry that this mishap caused you to worry about him.
- Carter: ...
- Mike: But that he's happy you feel the same way about him as he does about you. He has missed you very much recently and that he really wants to see you.
- Carter: ...
- Mike: And now he's talking to me. He wants me to recuse myself...
- Mike: He wants to send me away so that the two of you can go to the grove alone...
- Player: ...
- Carter is sitting at the bar, quietly sipping at wine...
- All you see is the wine flow into the lower part of the mask and disappear...
- Carter: ...
- Carter nods his head and then stands up, setting down his half-full glass.
- Carter quickly runs out of the Hottie Bar...
- Player: What's going on? Why so sudden?
- After a moment, Carter returns carrying a piece of paper. It seems to be a recipe?
- Player: Is this an improved recipe for the drink you just had?
- Carter nods his head.
- Player: Incredible. This seems like it might actually be pretty good.
- Carter: ...
- Player: Are you telling me you've learned how to do this?
- Carter nods his head. He bends his hand and cups it below his mask.
- Player: Haha, are you making a smile?
- Carter nods his head.
- Carter sits at the bar siping wine. Kitty is sitting at the bar doing his geography homework.
- Kitty: This is so hard... Why is this so hard... So many choices...
- Kitty: The vegetation distribution around Red Harbor and Eversun... Did we even talk about this? I don't remember at all...
- Player: Haven't we been to these places?
- Kitty: Who was paying attention to the vegetation back then?
- Kitty: How about we go again?
- Player: You gonna pay for the gas it takes to get there?
- Carter walks toward Kitty.
- Carter: ...
- Kitty: Eh? Just these two choices?
- Kitty: How about this one?
- Kitty: There. I've decided it.
- Carter nods his head. Even though you can't see his expression, he seems confident.
- Carter seems to be very knowledgable.
- Carter turns and looks at you. Once again, he curves his hand and puts it under his mask, making a smile.
- Carter sits at the bar sipping wine. Billy is watching the swimming pool.
- Billy: I just filled up the reservoir with water. Why isn't the pool automatically changing water?
- Player: Are you sure you added the water? Last time you obviously didn't, even though you thought you did...
- Billy: I did add the water...
- Carter walks to the pool, extends a hand, and uses arcana flux to test the pool...
- Carter: ... (Gesturing)
- Billy: Are you saying there's no energy?
- Billy: I am! The airship's engine and the Hottie Bar's pool use two different energy systems. You need to charge them separately!
- Billy: Uh oh. The last time I charged the airship, I forgot to charge the Hottie Bar!
- Player: You must be a fool...
- Carter extends his hand and begins pumping flux to the bottom of the pool.
- Player: ...
- Billy: Wow! It has power! The pool is changing water now!
- Player: Haha, thank you! You're the best!
- Carter finishes charging the pool, turns to you, and once again uses his hand to make a smile.
- Player: Carter, I've got a gift for you!
- Player: I don't know if it's as magical as the one in the manual...
- Player: Anyway, take it and try it out.
- Player: Maybe after using it...
- Player: You can solve the communication problem between us!
- Player: Ay!
- Player: Where is the switch?
- Player: Uh...
- Player: Hold on, let me look it up...
- Carter: ...
- The green indicator light on the Smart Interpreter lights up: 'Initiating Faceless One language decoding...'
- Player: !!!
- Scene transition
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Wow, it looks so magical...
- Player: ???
- Player: Carter, did the machine say 'magical,' or was it helping you translate?
- Carter points to himself.
- Player: So it really can interpret what you're saying?
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Yeah!
- Player: Great! Finally we don't need anyone else's help. You and I can talk alone!
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Thank you for everything you've done for me.
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Aside from Master Mike, it's been a long time since anyone has truly understood what I am saying.
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: In truth, I want you to understand me more than anyone...
- Carter: ...
- The Smart Interpreter translates Carter's confession to you and gives you the impression of love at first sight.
- Carter: ...
- The Smart Interpreter translates Carter's admission that he likes you more and more.
- Carter: ...
- An orange light on the Smart Interpreter comes on: 'Battery is almost out of power.'
- Player: ...
- Player: Ah? There's not enough power?
- Player: Uh... It seems like I won't get a lot of time to talk with you.
- Player: But I still have so many things I want to ask you about, and I want to hear the rest of what you were telling me...
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: I already feel quite content, being able to personally express my feelings for you all of a sudden.
- Carter: ...
- Player: Do not worry. I will not let you continue to live in loneliness without any way to talk to people.
- Player: I'll go find Turing and think of a way to prepare some more batteries that we can put in the machine!
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: It's no problem. Actually, language itself isn't truly capable of fully expressing one's emotions...
- Carter: ...
- A red light on the Smart Interpreter comes on: 'Battery is out of power...'
- Player: It's out of power...
- Player: That last thing you said, there wasn't enough time to hear it all.
- Carter: ...
- You stepped forward, opened both arms wide, and embraced Carter in a giant hug.
- Player: When expressing love, actions speak louder than words. That's what you wanted to say to me, right?
- Player: That's fine, we don't need to say it.
- Player: We can just do it.
- Carter: ...
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Mr. Turing has fixed the interpreter.
- Smart Interpreter: I know. Ever since I went to Never Isle, I've had many questions.
- Smart Interpreter: I was not planning on concealing those matters, but I had no way of borrowing someone else's mouth to tell you.
- Player: ...You're saying, you heard Choji telling me about the discussion you had with Mike?
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Yes. About 'the Faceless One,' and about 'the servant is only loyal to one master.' This is what I want to explain to you.
- Smart Interpreter: The Faceless One is a slave who has had his face, freedom, language and writing abilities stolen by a dark contract. In return, he was granted powerful arcana.
- Player: A slave?!
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Yes. We serve the 'Dragon Demon.'
- Smart Interpreter: The Dragon Demon is the most gifted warrior of the Draconians since ancient times. Because he has trained in dark, forbidden arcana, he has become the number one enemy of the Draconians.
- Smart Interpreter: Later he was sealed away in a glacier by the seven Draconian Elders and several Senior Kaist Hierophants.
- Smart Interpreter: The Faceless One contract lasts ten years once signed. This is my eighth year.
- Smart Interpreter: If the Dragon Demon awakens within those ten years, I and any other Faceless Ones who have signed contracts will...
- Smart Interpreter: Lose consciousness, lose their sense of self, lose all thought and emotion, and will be reduced to slaves of the Dragon Demon.
- Player: Sounds like this Dragon Demon has already been asleep for several millennia.
- Player: What happens if the ten years expires and the Dragon Demon doesn't wake up?
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Then the contract is finished and I can return to my normal form!
- Player: Haha, well that's not a big problem. It's already slept for several thousands of years and there's only two years left. Let sleeping Dragon Demons rest, I say!
- Player: However... You said 'the servant is only loyal to one master.' What did that mean?
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: In the name of obtaining power, I chose to become a slave of the Dragon Demon.
- Smart Interpreter: This technically means I betrayed Mr. Paul and Master Mike.
- Player: But the way I heard it, you used this method to obtain your power in order to save them.
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Mr. Paul said that neither purpose, intent, nor process have any bearing on the judgment of the result.
- Smart Interpreter: The result is the only thing that matters.
- Player: The result is that you saved Mike!
- Carter: ... (Awkwardly scratches head)
- Smart Interpreter: I did not win. I lost consciousness. Master Martin was run off by Peter.
- Player: Ah. All that hard work and nothing to show for it...
- Player: After all, you've sacrificed a lot, too!
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: It was Mr. Paul who saved my father and I.
- Smart Interpreter: Everything I know, is all because I went to school with the two masters...
- Smart Interpreter: Or is because Mr. Paul himself taught me...
- Smart Interpreter: This is just a face. It wasn't a great sacrifice. It's not nearly enough to pay Mr. Paul back for all he's given me.
- Smart Interpreter: However, everything will be fine in two years. As long as the Dragon Demon does not awaken, I will not have to worry about these matters anymore.
- Player: Yes, but... You could have chosen not to tell me all this.
- Smart Interpreter: No. As your friend, I cannot hide who I am from you.
- Smart Interpreter: Treat people with sincerity.' This is the first of the family rules Mr. Paul set.
- Smart Interpreter: Even though I have become a Faceless One, I am still the family's servant and will not violate these rules.
- Player: Treat people with sincerity.' ...So what about Mike?
- Carter: ... (Awkwardly scratches head)
- Smart Interpreter: The young master indeed is not very good at following rules.
- Smart Interpreter: But he could still be considered sincere, haha. Once you get to know him, anyway!
- Smart Interpreter: Actually, Player, there was another matter I wanted to talk to you about.
- Smart Interpreter: This Smart Interpreter is unable to communicate with anyone else.
- Player: What do you mean? It seems pretty useful to me!
- Carter: ... (Shakes head)
- Smart Interpreter: The voice of a Faceless One is cursed. No one aside from the Faceless One can understand them.
- Smart Interpreter: I have not yet heard of anyone who has broken this curse.
- Smart Interpreter: Even when I use the Smart Interpreter to speak, Mr. Turing and Mr. Billy cannot understand what I am saying.
- Smart Interpreter: Only you can.
- Smart Interpreter: I don't kno why.
- Player: Maybe it's because I'm an Avatar?
- Player: Anyway, it's not important. It doesn't matter. Since I'm the only one who can understand you, you should make sure to come by and chat more often!
- Carter: ... (Steadily nodding)
- Smart Interpreter: You're on!
- Player: Carter, it's been a while since you last came to see me. What have you been busy with lately?
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: Yes, I've been busy with my father's funeral arrangements...
- Player: ... Ah. I'm sorry.
- Player: Your father, he...
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: He killed himself. He hanged himself from a beam in his room at the nursing home.
- Player: ...
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: There's something I haven't mentioned before.
- Smart Interpreter: When I was 26 years old, I became Mr. Paul's butler.
- Smart Interpreter: Before that, it was my father.
- Smart Interpreter: That year...
- Smart Interpreter: Was the year Master Martin came out as a Gyee. It was also the third year that the family was the richest family in Crossport.
- Smart Interpreter: All of the large families used this opportunity to take down Mr. Paul...
- Smart Interpreter: Some families wanted to help my father break away from Mr. Paul. They even promised they would let him set up his own family, at the same time, giving him a large amount of money.
- Smart Interpreter: My father agreed, but I didn't get informed.
- Smart Interpreter: I tried for a long time, but I couldn't persuade him. After much hesitation, I informed Mr. Paul about this matter.
- Smart Interpreter: As a result, my father was banished back to his hometown and I became the newly-appointed butler.
- Smart Interpreter: Afterward, the relationship between my father and I never recovered.
- Smart Interpreter: My father was a man who liked to show off. When he was butler, every holiday, he liked to return to his hometown and show off.
- Smart Interpreter: But because he betrayed his master and lost his job, after he was banished back to his hometown, the locals looked down on him.
- Smart Interpreter: Even though I'd send him half my salary or more every month, he was still depressed.
- Smart Interpreter: One time I sent him money and he quarreled with me. He said he was called as son's freeloader.
- Smart Interpreter: He also said that what others didn't know, was that he was only in this situation because of me, his son.
- Smart Interpreter: After I signed a contract and became a Faceless One in order to save Mr. Paul and Master Mike...
- Smart Interpreter: My father became seriously ill.
- Smart Interpreter: In his confused state, he kept repeating over and over, you are Paul's son. You are not my son, you are Paul's son...
- Smart Interpreter: I wanted to tell him he was wrong and console him, but the words wouldn't come out.
- Smart Interpreter: I could only have Master Mike help me translate...
- Smart Interpreter: Up until his death, he and I never talked alone.
- Smart Interpreter: He never understood what I was trying to express. When I visited him, our communication was totally dependent on Master Mike.
- Smart Interpreter: His only son becoming the son of another family is what did this to him.
- Smart Interpreter: For him to commit suicide this late in his life... I guess it makes sense.
- Player: ... But you were not wrong to accuse your father of betrayal.
- Player: Sometimes doing the wrong thing can bring about the right result.
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: But I remember Mr. Paul once said, 'The difference between right and wrong is a matter of degrees.'
- Smart Interpreter: So long as you don't do the thing that is the 'most right,' you will regret it later.
- Smart Interpreter: That day, when Mr. Paul and I sent Father on his way...
- Smart Interpreter: He said, you did the right thing, and you stopped your father from doing the wrong thing. But you were not quick enough, or else he wouldn't have to leave.
- Smart Interpreter: Yes. Because of my hesitation, Father had time to set upon the path of betrayal.
- Smart Interpreter: When all is said and done, it was a strange time. To intimidate any other potential traitors, Mr. Paul had no choice but to banish Father.
- Player: ... It seems harsh, but I can't disagree with his reasoning.
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: But I couldn't be like Mr. Paul.
- Smart Interpreter: I can't avoid making mistakes. I can't avoid realizing my mistakes after making them.
- Smart Interpreter: After realizing my mistakes, I can't avoid suffering, which is tantamount to making a new mistake.
- Smart Interpreter: I know what he did was right, but if I tried something like that, I would live only in suffering.
- Player: Actually, you don't need to.
- Player: He was right, but that kind of lifestyle only suits a loner like him.
- Player: But you, when you make a mistake, your friends can help you. When you're suffering, your friends can console you and encourage you.
- Player: Even though his ability to carry such a heavy burden alone is impressive...you don't need to.
- Player: And you have me. You have Mike. You have your friends at the Hottie Bar.
- Player: Even when you cannot speak, you are not alone.
- Player: That's to say nothing of the present.
- Carter: ... (Steadily nodding)
- Smart Interpreter: ... Thank you.
- Smart Interpreter: Of all the people I know, you were the only one able to solve this issue for me.
- Smart Interpreter: Every time I chat with you, I feel my worries slip away.
- Smart Interpreter: I'm happy when I'm with you, whatever we're doing.
- Smart Interpreter: I truly wish I could have met you sooner.
- Player: Because then I would have seen your face and gotten to see your true self?
- Carter shakes his head, and then puts your hand on his left chest.
- Carter: ...
- Smart Interpreter: My true self is right here...
- Smart Interpreter: And I have already shown you everything...

Picnic
- Carter: ...
- Carter makes an eating gesture, signaling you to follow.
- Player: Are you treating me to a meal?
- Carter nods.
- Player: Okay!
- Scene transition
- Player: I'm here! Hey, Choji's here, too!
- Player: So it's a picnic. What are we eating?
- Choji: We haven't decided yet. Carter said we should wait for you and then decide!
- Carter: ...
- Choji: We prepared a lot of ingredients for this picnic. We can have whatever you want!
- Choji: If you want to eat hot pot, I've brought 14 base ingredients that you can match as you please.
- Choji: If you want to eat barbecue, I've brought 8 different dips. Carter made two of them!
- Choji: I don't know where he got the recipe, but they're very delicious!
- Choji: We can also eat stir fry, if that's what you want. The ingredients are all in the car. What do you want to eat?
- Player: I'm fine with any of that. You can eat whatever, right, Carter?
- Carter: ...
- Choji: Haha, at first I was really curious how Carter would eat!
- Choji: I still don't quite understand it, but anyway, he puts the food where his mouth would be...
- Choji: And I don't know what happens, but the food disappears!
- Choji: Sometimes grains of rice or soup will stick to his mask, haha!
- Choji: So don't worry about him. He can eat anything, and he's got an even bigger appetite than Mike!
- Carter: ...
- Choji: So what will we be having?
- Player: I'd prefer barbecue. Mainly because I just want to try some of Carter's dips!
- Carter: ...
- Choji: All right. Barbecue it is!
- Choji: His dips really are tasty. You won't regret it!
- Choji: I'll go get the grill!
- Carter: ...
- Choji: Let... me...
- Choji: You mean you want to work the grill?
- Carter: ...
- Choji: Okay! Let's see what you've got!
- Player: Carter can be the grill master. I'm very excited!
- Carter: ...
- Player: Let's eat hot pot. Everyone can sit around the pot. It's a really good time!
- Player: It's also pretty warm and friendly.
- Player: what's your opinion, Carter?
- Carter: ...
- Choji: All right. Hot pot it is!
- Choji: I'll bring the pot over. You guys select some ingredients!
- Choji: A drinking party?
- Choji: No way! Carter needs to drive!
- Carter: ...
- Player: Don't worry about it. My airship is parked nearby. When we're ready to leave, I can take you all back!
- Choji: In that case, we can probably drink a little. What do you say, Carter?
- Carter: ...
- Choji: That's right! We didn't bring anything to drink!
- Carter: ...
- Player: Not a problem. The Hottie Bar's got plenty to drink!
- Player: After all, if we only eat, then Carter won't feel like he got to participate.
- Player: All he'll be able to do is listen to us chat.
- Player: Drinking will be different. Everyone can play cards and drinking games!
- Player: It'll be fun even for someone like Carter who can't talk!
- Choji: Makes sense! Two thumbs up!
- Player: Yes. Trust me, we're going to have a good time.
- Player: what's your opinion, Carter?
- Carter: ...
- Carter: ...
- Choji: Two nods in a row means 'thank you'!
- Player: No need to thank me! In a moment, we'll need some food to complement the drinks!
- Player: Wait for me a moment. I'm going to go get the wine!
- Choji: Great! We'll help you!
Gadgets
- Carter: ...
- Carter tugs at your arm and makes a 'need help' gesture.
- Player: You need help with something?
- Carter makes a gesture for pushing a shopping cart and tossing products into the cart.
- Player: You want me to go grocery shopping with you?
- Carter nods.
- Player: Let's go!
- Scene transition
- Player: Peter's here? Why did you shop at a factory?
- Peter: Master Mike asked us to buy some tech stuff, so we came to Red Harbor.
- Player: Then why are you empty-handed? Didn't buy anything?
- Peter: We picked out a few things. We put them in the trunk.
- Peter: But we don't know what we should buy.
- Carter: ...
- Player: Well this is all tech stuff. Did you have any specific purpose in mind?
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Furniture, perhaps?
- Player: High-tech furniture?
- Peter: Master Mike wants to add another floor onto his ten-story villa.
- Peter: He said he wants the top floor to be themed around technology to give it a high tech feel...
- Peter: I don't know anything what feels high tech, though...
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Carter doesn't know, either.
- Carter: ...
- Player: I suspect that Mike doesn't know, either. He's always jumping from one thing to the next...
- Carter: ...
- Peter: So we came to ask for your help.
- Peter: I hear your home Blue Star is very technologically-oriented.
- Peter: Besides, you're also close with Master Turing. I wonder if you might have any suggestions?
- Player: I think...
- Peter: ... A lighting system?
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Why are you nodding? I don't even know what a lighting system is.
- Player: It's a bunch of lights. You install them in the ceilings, in the walls, on the floor...
- Player: Then you press a switch and you can adjust the lighting in the room various ways.
- Player: You can create a different atmosphere suited to your needs.
- Player: For example, if everyone's singing and dancing, you can adjust the lighting in the style of a nightclub...
- Player: If you want to read a book in peace, you can adjust the lighting so it's like the sunset coming through a window, that sort of feel...
- Player: You can also adjust it according to how the room is decorated.
- Player: You can adjust it so that it's like a bright laboratory setting...
- Player: Or you can even adjust it to be oppressive, like an depot.
- Peter: Sounds like something Master Mike would really like.
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Let's do that, then.
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Why are you shaking your head again?
- Carter: ...
- Peter: You mean it'll be expensive?
- Peter: It's just one set of lights. Shouldn't be that expensive, right?
- Carter: ...
- Peter: You're saying Master Mike wouldn't just want one set?
- Carter: ...
- Player: I think so, too. If he ends up liking it, he'll want a set for every floor. More than ten stories...
- Carter: ...
- Peter: You're right. That's what he's like.
- Peter: Anyway, we'll keep it in mind as a backup. If we can't find anything else, we'll take the lights.
- Peter: Let's take a look at something else.
- Player: OK.
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Makes sense. An elevator would be useful, after all.
- Peter: His villa only has stairs. It doesn't have an elevator yet.
- Peter: But... Master Mike's seat can float. Maybe he doesn't need an elevator?
- Peter: I climb the stairs for exercise, so I don't need an elevator.
- Peter: What are you, Carter?
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Then Choji would be the only one who would need it?
- Carter: ...
- Carter: ...
- Peter: You mean, even though Choji could use the elevator, he could use the exercise more, right?
- Carter: ...
- Player: Haha, he does need to exercise!
- Peter: That's right. We'll keep an elevator in mind as a backup, then.
- Peter: Let's take a look at something else.
- Player: OK.
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Robot Guard? Why?
- Player: Doesn't Mike have a lot of debts?
- Player: With that in mind, he still wants to add a floor to his villa?
- Player: Seems like a lot of people are going to come looking for trouble!
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Yeah. Your suggestion makes sense!
- Peter: Aside from the Robot Guard, the security system and the guarded entrance all need to be replaced.
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Yes, after all, Master Mike's safety is of paramount importance.
- Peter: Since Carter agrees, let's go with this.
- Carter: ...
- Peter: Why are you shaking your head again?
- Carter: ...
- Peter: We don't have enough spending money?
- Carter: ...
- Peter: No... You're saying this doesn't fit Master Mike's request?
- Carter: ...
- Player: How about we refrain from buying too many things? After all, Master Mike is fond of his accessories and other novelties.
- Peter: ...
- Player: You could do this. You could set up a Robot Guard that also has a sanitation function. Normally, it will just sweep the floor and clean up, but can also fight if it needs to.
- Peter: That's a good idea!
- Carter: ...
- Carter: ...
- Peter: When Carter nods twice in a row, it means he's saying 'thank you'.
- Peter: This is a really good idea. We're going to go find one of these Robot Guards.
- Peter: Thank you.
- Player: You're welcome!
Faceless One
- Carter: ...
- Carter points expressionlessly at Mike next to him.
- Mike: Ah, I see!
- Mike: Carter and I are going to see the circus in town at Rivergulf. Wanna come?
- Player: Let's go!
- Scene transition
- Player: Don't you have a car, Mike? Why have you come aboard the airship?
- Mike: Seriously? Rivergulf is very far away. Carter would get exhausted if I drove!
- Player: You could drive in turns, couldn't you?
- Mike: Uh... I can't drive...
- Mike: Because if I learn how to, then I'll have to. So I simply won't learn how!
- Carter: ...
- Mike: You don't want to go, Carter?
- Mike: Last time you said it was too far to drive, so now we're taking the airship. Why don't you want to go?
- Player: ... Is it because you think I don't want you here? You don't want to trouble me?
- Carter: ...
- Player: Good. Don't worry about that, I was just giving Mike a hard time.
- Player: But you're always welcome aboard!
- Mike: It's not a big deal. Don't worry about it. He just doesn't want to see... other 'Faceless Ones.'
- Player: Faceless One'? What's that?
- Mike: Can I tell him, Carter?
- Carter: ...
- Mike: Faceless One' refers to people like Carter. People who lost their faces and ability to express themselves...
- Mike: ... but as a result, acquired tremendously powerful arcana.
- Mike: When 'Faceless Ones' talk, only other 'Faceless Ones' can understand...
- Mike: If they write, the characters they write will just look like garbled nonsense to a normal person.
- Mike: Likewise, only other 'Faceless Ones' can read it.
- Mike: Which is to say, Faceless Ones have essentially lost the ability to express themselves and communicate with normal people.
- Mike: So usually, Faceless Ones will gather together and don't really like to deal with the outside world.
- Mike: The southern outskirts of the place we're going to, Rivergulf, is inhabited by many Faceless Ones.
- Mike: I had planned on booking a circus and inviting the Faceless Ones to come check it out...
- Mike: Let them and Carter get to know one another so he can make friends...
- Mike: But for some reason, Carter doesn't want to go...
- Player: Hmm. Maybe it's because...
- Carter: ...
- Mike: Safety? Why are you bringing up safety?
- Player: I'm just guessing. It was just a guess...
- Player: Have you ever heard of anyone who could communicate with Faceless Ones without any obstacles whatsoever?
- Mike: Myself. Carter and I have no problem communicating.
- Player: There's no one else, right?
- Mike: Yeah...
- Player: Then are there any Faceless Ones who can communicate with normal people?
- Player: Aside from Carter, are there any others?
- Carter: ...
- Mike: Uh... That's why I wanted to go ask those Faceless Ones and see if there were any that could.
- Mike: If there are, then we could talk about what we've learned and share experiences.
- Player: And if there aren't, they might take you away...
- Carter: ...
- Player: As long as they could control the two of you, they could talk to Carter, and have Carter use hand gestures to communicate with you.
- Player: Then you talk to others or write things down...
- Player: Then these Faceless Ones could communicate with anyone they want to communicate with.
- Player: They could imprison you and use you as tools. One day, you need to write a bunch of letters home. The next day, write a bunch of love letters. It's not impossible...
- Mike: That... That sounds awful.
- Carter: ...
- Mike: All right. We'll do it your way. I won't go bother those Faceless Ones...
- Carter: ...
- Mike: But... The circus is supposed to be pretty great. Why don't we go sneak a peek?
- Mike: And after we see it, we'll just sneak out. That should be okay, right?
- Carter: ... (Sigh)
- Mike: Haha, Carter nodded. Let's go!
- Player: Well, since I can't talk you out of going entirely, I'll go set the destination. Rivergulf, right?
- Mike: That's right!
- Mike: Doesn't identify as a Faceless One? What does this have to do with identity?
- Player: Everybody's got multiple identities. Compared to his identity as a 'Faceless One'...
- Player: I think Carter probably prefers his identity as 'Mike's Butler' or 'Mike's Driver'?
- Carter: ...
- Player: He would prefer to live as 'Mike's Butler/Driver' than as a 'Faceless One.'
- Carter: ...
- Mike: I'm not forcing you to go live with them as a 'Faceless One'...
- Mike: Actually... How should I put it... I just thought you could visit your homeland and puff out your chest a little bit?
- Mike: Just, like... Show off in front of them.
- Mike: Check me out. We're all Faceless Ones, but I can communicate with normal people!'
- Mike: If you want to learn how, just give Master Carter a shout. I'll show you the way!'
- Carter: ... (Sweat)
- Player: Maybe that's what you would do. Carter doesn't seem too interested in that.
- Carter: ...
- Mike: All right. Have it your way.
- Carter: ...
- Mike: But I still want to go. The circus is probably worth a look, right?
- Mike: I promise I won't take you to go see the other Faceless Ones!
- Carter: ... (Remain silent for a moment and then nod)
- Mike: Great! Captain, let's depart! Otherwise we'll miss the circus!
- Player: No problem!
- Mike: How could that be? What kind of person do you take me for?
- Carter: ...
- Player: Are you sure you wouldn't send Carter to go hang out with the other Faceless Ones, and then run off by yourself?
- Mike: Uh... I mean, if Carter got along with them well enough and seemed happy...
- Mike: If that was the case...
- Mike: You couldn't really call that 'abandoning' him, right?
- Mike: It would be better to call it 'setting him free!'
- Carter: ...
- Mike: You're saying... that's not the reason?
- Carter: ...
- Mike: The 'Faceless Ones' aren't good people?
- Carter: ...
- Mike: Good or bad, you won't be able to make that judgment until you meet them first.
- Mike: Besides, I've seen everything the world has to offer. I'm the world's foremost expert in dealing with bad people!
- Mike: It would be no trouble at all!
- Mike: Let's go, Captain! Before the circus is over!
- Carter: ... (Sigh)
- Player: Then shall we depart?
- Carter: ...

Faceless One
They say Izumi is questioning an eccentric visitor in the Defense Force... Hmm? Isn't that Carter?
- Scene - Never Isle Defense Force
- Izumi: Names.
- Choji: Choji and Carter!
- Izumi: Which one of you is which?
- Choji: I am Choji. He is Carter!
- Izumi: Sex, age, and occupation?
- Choji: We're both male. I'm 25 and he is 37. I am Mike's chef, while he is Mike's driver.
- Izumi: Why are you so eager to be the first to answer the questions? You're treating your friend like he's a mute.
- Choji: But he is a mute!
- Izumi: Ah... I'm sorry. You you want me to fill out a form for you?
- Carter shakes his head
- Izumi: You can't read?
- Carter shakes his head
- Choji: He said it's not that he can't read.
- Izumi: If it's not that he can't read, then is it that he just doesn't want to fill it out?
- Carter shakes his head
- Choji: He said it's not that he doesn't want to fill it out.
- Choji: I seem to remember that he can only write characters others can't understand...
- Player walks in
- Player: This is Choji and Izumi. And this is Mike's mysterious driver, Carter?
- Player: He's here at Never Isle, as well?
- Carter makes hand gestures at Choji
- Choji: Why are you pointing at me? You want me to help you fill it in?
- Choji: I can't. I barely know how to read...
- Choji: If a word doesn't appear on a menu or in a recipe, there's a good chance I don't know it...
- Carter: ... (Sigh)
- Carter: Ah, ah.
- Everyone notices Player
- Izumi: Haha, it's Player!
- Choji: My knight in shining armor!
- Choji: Translating this is going to be difficult. Come help me!
- Izumi: Yes, you've come at the perfect time!
- Player: Me? I don't have any idea what's going on!
- Choji: Let me tell you!
- Choji: Mike had Carter help him deliver something to Never Isle. He had me go with him.
- Choji: After we got to the island, this officer told us we were carrying an illegal instrument that required inspection.
- Player: Then how can I help?
- Choji: Help me translate for Carter!
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: Carter nodded twice to express his gratitude!
- Izumi: Great! Then help Choji fill in this form!
- Player: Okay. Let me see...
- Go to Part 2
- Choji: Uh... I see...
- Izumi: All right. Then we won't force you. Let's take it slowly.
- Player: Thanks.
- Scene ends
- I've studied with Choji for so long, I've managed to finish most of the registration form.
- Izumi: Thank you! Most of the information has been finished!
- Izumi: But there are still some key questions that need to be answered...
- Izumi: Carter, Choji says Mike had you deliver something to Never Isle.
- Izumi: Who was the recipient?
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Izumi: Choji, what did he say?
- Choji: ... Let me think. He said, 'Tree Leaf'?
- Carter nods his head
- Izumi: Tree Leaf... What Tree Leaf?
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Choji: Tobacco?
- Izumi: Oh, oh! President Vundo!
- Izumi: So the thing you were delivering, the illegal instrument, was being delivered to President Vundo?
- Carter shakes his head then makes hand gestures again
- Choji: Organization? Tobacco organization? Tree Leaf organization?
- Carter: (Sigh and shake head) ...
- Choji: Tea Leaf? A tea leaf like an olive? Like wheat?
- Carter: (Nod) Ah, ah...
- Choji: I understand! Tobacco leaf, tea leaf, olive wine and beer!
- Choji: That's right! The tobacco, alcohol, and tea shop!
- Carter: (Sigh) ...
- Player: You came all this way to Never Isle... Why do you say it couldn't be delivered to the tobacco, alcohol, and tea shop?
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: Then what are you saying?
- Player: Organization... Tea leaf... Tobacco... Olive... Wheat...
- Choices start
- Carter: (Nod) Ah, ah...
- Player: So it's someone in the Order of Equality?
- Carter: (Nod) Ah, ah...
- Choji: I finally guessed right! Incredible!
- Player: Haha!
- Izumi: So who in the Order of Equality do you need to deliver it to?
- Go to Part 3
- Carter: (Shake head) ...
- Go back to Choices start
- Carter: (Shake head) ...
- Go back to Choices start
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Choji: Tall...
- Choji: Two tall people?
- Choji: The second tallest person?
- Carter shakes his head
- Choji: I understand! It's not someone who's tall. It's someone who's important!
- Choji: Two important people!
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Choji: It's not someone important?
- Choji: Head?
- Choji: An important person with two brains?
- Player: Two brains? What kind of demonic translation is this?!
- Carter: (Sigh and shake head) ...
- Choji: I can't do this! I'll let you handle it!
- Choices start
- Carter: (Shake head) ...
- Go back to Choices start
- Carter: (Shake head) ...
- Go back to Choices start
- Carter: (Nod) Ah, ah...
- Izumi: Great. We finally got the right answer.
- Izumi: There's no other questions. Leave the illegal instrument here for now. You're allowed to move freely within the confines of the island.
- Izumi: If you plan on leaving, we will return the instrument to you.
- Carter nods his head
- Izumi: I know what that means. It means 'thank you'!
- Izumi: You're welcome. Now hand the instrument over to me!
- Carter shakes his head
- Izumi: What's this? Why are you shaking your head? You mean you're not going to give the instrument to me?
- Choice - Perhaps he can't hand it over?
- Carter: (Shake head) ...
- Izumi: Doesn't seem that way...
- Izumi: Then... is it that you don't even know what the illegal instrument is?
- Choice - Maybe he doesn't know what he's supposed to be handing over? - 8 Intimacy
- Carter: (Nod) Ah, ah...
- Izumi: I see. Then we've got no other choice. Let's inspect the item and see what it is together. How about that?
- Conversation continues after choices
- Carter nods his head
- Izumi: Then you two wait for us outside for a moment. We'll be quick.
- Player: OK.
- Izumi leads Carter into the Defense Force headquarters while Choji and Player stay outside
- Izumi: Is it the thing you wanted to deliver? Why don't we put it up there and test it?
- Carter: ...
- Izumi: I guess not. Let's try your mask again. Can you take it off?
- Carter: ...
- Izumi: Huh, you've prepared two identical masks so that you can replace them if you have to?
- Carter: ...
- Izumi: There's nothing wrong with this mask. Change them again. I'll try the other.
- Izumi: There's nothing wrong with either of your masks.
- Izumi: Come on. Let's try your bracers again.
- Izumi: What's wrong? You don't want to take them off?
- Izumi: Hmm... Then will you put your hand up there?
- Izumi: Relax, this won't hurt your skin.
- Izumi: Huh?
- Izumi: Why is it flashing? Why does it have a reaction one second and then doesn't the next?
- Izumi: Could it be your clothes? How about you take your clothes off?
- Carter: ...
- Izumi: Don't shake your head! We're all men here! Don't be embarrassed!
- Izumi: Besides, it's not like you're wearing a lot of clothes, anyway. You're not afraid of anyone seeing, right?
- Carter: ...
- Izumi: You're saying that you won't take off your clothes just like you wouldn't take off your bracers?
- Carter: ...
- Izumi: So do you wear these clothes when you go to bed? Even when you shower?
- Carter: ...
- Izumi: How tragic. I'm really curious why you...
- Izumi: ... Hey, hey! What are you doing?
- Izumi: Why are you putting your head on there?!
- Izumi: It might not have any effect on your skin, but...
- Izumi: ... My god?!
- Choji: What's going on in here?!
- Choiji and Player try to listen closer at the door
- Carter: ...
- Izumi: The device's reaction... Is your head the illegal instrument?
- Carter: ...
- Go to Part 4
- Izumi and Carter walk outside
- Choji: What's going on? I just heard you say that Carter's head is the illegal instrument?
- Izumi: Yes... I've never encountered a situation like this, either.
- Choji: Then what can we do? Carter, you can't just leave your head here, right?
- Izumi: No good. If Mira found out, wouldn't...
- Player: If you don't say anything, I don't say anything, and Choji doesn't say anything, then how will Mira find out?
- Izumi: But... I can't not say anything. I need to report this to her...
- Player: It's not a big deal! He'll make the delivery and then leave. I can't see anything wrong with that! Relax!
- Player: If you report absolutely everything to her, no matter how small, won't she just get tired of it?
- Izumi: You're right about that...
- Carter: (Shake head) ...
- Choji: What's wrong? Why are you shaking your head, Carter?
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Choji: You... Mike...
- Choji: Rules... Are rules...
- Player: You mean as Mike's representative, you refuse to break the rules?
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: Am I understanding you right?
- Choji: Doesn't Mike break the rules all the time?!
- Player: He's right.
- Izumi: If he doesn't want to break the rules, then don't force him. You need to understand, I need to ensure Never Isle's safety!
- Carter nods his head
- Player: Then do you want to stay here while we help you make the delivery?
- Carter shakes his head
- Choji: You can't make the delivery for him, either. That doesn't fix the problem! You're driving me nuts!
- Carter: ...
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Choji: Find... the chief...
- Player: You want me to get General Will over here, right? You want to deliver it to him yourself?
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: All right. Makes no difference to me.
- Player: Seems like it's pretty important. We'll go find General Will.
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: No worries. We're heading out!
- Izumi: That is a good idea. This way, the package will get delivered, and I won't be neglecting my duties!
- Choji: And you won't have to leave your head here!
- Carter: (Shake head) ...
- Choji: What's wrong? Why are you shaking your head, Carter?
- Choji: Don't tell me you're really thinking of leaving your head here?!
- Carter shakes his head then makes some hand gestures
- Choji: Find... the chief...
- Player: You want me to get General Will over here, right? You want to deliver it to him yourself?
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: All right. Makes no difference to me.
- Player: Seems like it's pretty important. We'll go find General Will.
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: No worries. We're heading out!
- Choji: You don't need to go to all that trouble. Just let me deliver the package for you!
- Carter shakes his head
- Choji: Why are you shaking your head? Are you shaking your head at me or at him?
- Carter: ... (Point at Choji)
- Player: I'm guessing it's something important. We should have General Will come over...
- Player: Let's have Carter deliver it personally!
- Choji: All right. Anyway, to me there is no difference.
- Player: Mm. Let's go find General Will!
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: No worries. We're heading out!
- Conversation continues after choices
- Choji and Player go to General Will
- Will: Oh? So because his head is an illegal instrument, he's being held by the Defense Force?
- Player: That's right...
- Will: Mike's driver seems like a pretty complicated guy...
- Will: What's Mike having him deliver? Does this driver absolutely need to deliver the item himself?
- Player: We're not sure, either.
- Player: Carter's at the Defense Force waiting for us. Please come with us, General. We'll know everything once you pick up the item.
- Will: All right. Let's go.
- Choji, Player and Will go back to the Defense Force
- Will: ... Oh? You're Carter, Mike's driver?
- Carter nods his head
- Carter hands a delicate box to General Will.
- General Will opens the box...
- Will: Isn't this the money Mike owes me?
- Choji: So it's not something important, after all?
- Will: Right. It's nothing too important. He didn't owe me that much money. Why did you act like this was some serious matter?
- Carter nods then shakes his head
- Choji: So you didn't know what you were delivering, Carter? Mike didn't tell you?
- Carter nods his head
- Izumi: Nodding and then shaking his head means he doesn't know...
- Will: This isn't such a bad thing. He wanted to do it himself. One must be meticulous when handling one's responsibilities.
- Will: You're a lot better about that than Mike is.
- Carter: ...
- Will: Am I right in guessing that you're a 'Faceless One'?
- Carter: ...
- Carter was silent for a while and then nodded.
- Will: It's not very often that one sees a 'Faceless One' such as yourself.
- Will: If you're not in a rush to get back, would you be willing to have a talk with me, one-on-one?
- Choji: But he can't talk, General. Do you need me to translate for you?
- Will: That won't be necessary. I just want to ask him a couple of questions. Nodding and shaking his head will be enough.
- Carter nods his head then both Carter and Will walk off together
- Izumi: If we're through here, I'm going to go back and take care of some work!
- Choji: All right. Thank you for being so patient with us!
- Izumi: There's no need to thank me. This is my job!
- Go to Part 5
- Choji: Did you hear General Will call Carter a 'Faceless One' just now? Carter nodded!
- Player: I heard him. But what's a 'Faceless One'?
- Choji: I'm not sure, either...
- Choji: But it sounds like it's a name for a group of people. Maybe they're some kind of community?
- Player: So that means that Carter has lots of friends?
- Choji: That's not important. What's important is, why is Carter a 'Faceless One'?
- Choji: He's been living at Mike's house since he was young!
- Choji: His father was the butler for Mike's family. Ten years ago, he was banished... But I'm not sure on the details, myself.
- Choji: After that, Carter became the butler.
- Choji: When I first arrived at Crossport, I saw him once at a restaurant. He looks completely different now...
- Choji: He was really handsome back then! He was wearing formal clothes. He was wearing a suit with leather shoes. He was dressed even more formally than Peter!
- Choji: But look at the clothes he's wearing now. They said he doesn't even take them off to shower...
- Choji: And it's all black behind his mask! Also the dark magic he was using!
- Choji: Mike said his face was burned in that fire. What am I supposed to believe now? I don't even know if he has a face at all!
- Player: Mike isn't very convincing...
- Player: But what are you trying to say?
- Choji: I don't know how to put it. Don't you think it's strange?
- Player: Strange... You mean...
- Choice - You think he's joined an evil cult?
- Choji: Yeah! That's possible!
- Choji: Why else would he always wear those strange clothes?
- Choji: Where else did he learn such sinister Arcana?
- Player: But he seemed very polite and proper to me...
- Player: He didn't seem like such a bad guy, did he?
- Choji: At first, I was really scared of him. But after I got familiar with him, I thought he was a pretty good guy.
- Player: Maybe he joined one on accident? And then had no way of leaving?
- Choji: I remember now! It's all coming back to me!
- Choice - He's been cursed by an evil spell?
- Choji: You're saying... He had no face, he wouldn't speak, and he wouldn't take off his strange clothes...
- Choji: Because he's been cursed?!
- Choji: Who cursed him? Who could be that malicious?!
- Player: Yeah... Anyway, If he's been cursed, why wouldn't Carter just say so?
- Choji: ... Wait!
- Choji: It's all coming back to me! I don't think he's been cursed!
- Choice - He's not the real Carter?
- Choji: Not the real Carter?!
- Player: That's right. Do you think that's possible?
- Player: Now this 'Faceless One' is being called Carter...
- Player: But the real Carter, the one who grew up with Mike, was burned up in that fire!
- Player: Afterward, Mike ran into this Faceless One, saw his body resembled Carter's, and that he didn't have a face...
- Player: And then he was flooded with all kinds of thoughts, and couldn't help but call him Carter.
- Player: Afterward, Mike used some kind of trick on this guy to make sure he couldn't take off his clothes and had him learn how to drive, so he could be his driver...
- Choji: You've got an active imagination, don't you?
- Player: It does seem a little ridiculous, doesn't it...
- Choji: Those two have definitely known each other for a long time.
- Choji: Carter's strange gestures looked like they were invented by Mike...
- Choji: It's very strange!
- Choji: Mike can understand all of his gestures so they can communicate freely.
- Choji: ... Wait!
- Choji: It's all coming back to me!
- Conversation continues after choices
- Choji: One time, I accidentally overheard Mike and Carter talking...
- Choji: It seemed like Carter thought he had betrayed Mike. Mike didn't take it as a betrayal, though...
- Player: Betrayal?
- Player: What in the heck is going on?
- Choji: I don't remember it so clearly. I just remember that evening, I was making stir-fried clam...
- Choji: No, I think it was spicy clam...
- Player: It doesn't matter what food you made. Get to the point...
- Choji: At the time, I wanted to go get Mike, and then I heard what I thought was him talking to himself...
- Choji: When I got closer, I realized he was talking with Carter...
- Scene - In the past
- Mike: Do you know what you're saying?
- Mike: You became this in order to save me. And now you want me to get rid of you...
- Carter: ...
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Mike: You betrayed me?!
- Carter: ...
- Carter nods his head then makes more hand gestures
- Mike: Carter... It's clear that you were doing it to save me. How could you call this a 'betrayal'?
- Carter: ...
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Mike: Even so, it shouldn't be considered a 'betrayal'. What's more...
- Mike: I've never regarded you as a servant.
- Mike: Do you forget when we were little and I used to call you 'Brother Carter'?
- Mike: You were the one who didn't want me to call you that anymore.
- Carter: ...
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Mike: Ay... How can I say this so that you'll understand?
- Carter: ...
- Carter makes some hand gestures
- Mike: That's enough!
- Mike: What do you mean, 'a servant cannot be loyal to two masters?' What does that have to do with this?!
- Scene - Back to the present
- Player: A servant cannot be loyal to two masters?' 'Betrayal'?
- Player: Also... Mike gets angry and yells at people?
- Choji: I've been with him for many years, and I've only heard him do that once...
- Player: So what's going on here? And then? What happened afterward?
- Choji: Afterward, my hands started to tremble with fear, and I dropped all the clams on the plate...
- Choji: The two of them heard the sound and stopped talking.
- Choji: I thought a lot about it, but still don't quite understand what they meant.
- Choji: But it's probably related to the fire back when Mike was 20 years old.
- Choji: Carter changed after the fire.
- Player: 'You became this in order to save me.' 'Betrayal'... 'A servant cannot be loyal to two masters.' His sudden change after the fire...
- Player: He obtained powerful arcana, but lost his face and ability to express himself...
- Player: Could it be that he made some sort of pact?!
- Will: Sorry to keep you two waiting!
- Carter and Will come back
- Will: Please personally deliver that letter into Mike's hands.
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: Then shall we go back now?
- Carter nods his head
- Choji: Carter and I are leaving now. Good-bye, General!
- Will: Good bye.
- Choji: Thank you for your help in translating today. Next time we meet, I'll treat you to a nice meal!
- Player: All right. I'll hold you to that!
- Choji: Of course!
- Carter nods his head twice to Player
- Player: You're welcome!
- Scene ends
